Faceoffs were even in the 1st but Schmaltz has lost all of his apparently so I’m sure that’s part of the perception.

That’s good news on Bast. It was starting to sound like it’d be a while before we see him in a game. I know he’s more of the 6/7 guy in the D-core, but considering how bad a couple of the defensemen have been lately, at least having the option to put him in would be nice.

Because he’s been an absolute non-factor all season? He’s had multiple opportunities in the top 6 and hasn’t been noticeable at all.

I’ve thought about it, and these are a couple lines I personally would try if I was in charge : 17-8-9 26-22-28 *I decided that since so far both of Caulfield’s goals this season came off great passes by James that we should give them some more time on the same line. If we want 22 and 9 on different lines putting McLaughlin at center with these 2 made sense. The other line we’ve tried before but was what was leftover in my head so I just went with it. *

Absolutely not on Schmaltz-Gaber-Caulfield. I mean talk about no chemistry. It wasn’t good last season and didn’t work when they tried it this season.

I’m frustrated because I don’t feel like we’re seeing any improvement defensively. Just seem to be getting worse. And I have no idea how it’s possible to be this bad.

Berry has said he prefers to have their recruits over transfers so I can’t imagine we go that route where there’s a heavy emphasis on transfers unless there’s another major turnover year. A lot of our recruits are around the same age/scheduled to come in around the same time so I imagine we are looking further down the road right now aside from the obvious need for a couple productive forwards for next year’s class.

I get it but dropping after not losing any games is a bit much. I don’t know that I have really seen this very much. How many other teams are being dropped for similar results? Also UMD is really still ranked?

I’d rather hear from the actual victim instead of his mom all the time. I also don’t think they even want an apology because it doesn’t sound like it would be accepted anyway. It sounds like from what I have heard that there are a lot of issues between these 2 families, beyond just this incident. They should try to work things out privately, but doubt that’ll ever happen at this point.

They also have been doing this (at least for the audio feed) for streaming USHL and AHL games for many years, so it’d be nice if we could at least pick which announcers we get.

Taking out the five injured skaters as options still leaves us with 4 forward lines, and 7 D. At least by my count. So we’ll have an extra skater, but it’ll be at D. Schlossman’s article made it sound like we wouldn’t have an extra skater but I think he meant extra forward.

I just think he’s a brat.

I think Portz has been good when he’s been in the lineup this season, but I’m not sure who you would play him over. The 4th line is the most volatile spot to be this year, there’s a lot of guys we could have there.
