  1. Max Tardy was drafted by st louis -- he's going to UMD. our recruit, Derek Forbort, is not draft eligible until next year.
  2. First of all... TOEWS. (might of been a typo, but after spending a week working hockey camp with girl campers who don't know who he is... i'm a bit ...ugh!) And secondly, I couldn't give a crap about Minny or Wisco and the players they have or are going to have. And i think it's dumb to judge our incoming classes based on other teams. I trust we recruit the right players for our team and they'll come out of here better than when they came in. My 2 cents...
  3. i wouldn't hold your breath on that...
  4. Depends who else is ON that 4th line.
  5. I graduated at a GREAT time!
  6. Yes, and the pens need to win Game 7 so I can win that contest at NHL.com
  7. We almost share a brain... My thoughts were exactly that, only switching Toews and Trupp around so Trupp is between Hextall and Gregoire and Toews between Cichy and Kristo. Either combination could work in my opinion though...
  8. http://www.hockeyfights.com/news/122389 Kozek signed by Thrashers Didn't see it posted anywhere else.
  9. Most of the fwds from last years top 2 PP units are back. You have Vandy and Hextall from the top unit and Frattin, Trupp, and Gregoire from the 2nd unit. The issue is definitely who does the point. Aside from Genoway and Marto, you need 2 others to run the point. I got the feeling last year that LaPoint may be a guy that the coaches thought at some point could be at one of the points. I also think I remember seeing Trupp at the point on the PP a few times. Interesting...
  10. FINALLY! someone who shares my opinion!
  11. Hill-Murray. He graduated in 2008, I believe.
  12. I've seen Mattson play on TV. I have not seen Carter Rowney play so I'm not going to get into that whole argument about who should or should not be coming in. Thats what the coaching staff gets to do their job. There are probably reasons why Mattson is playing for Omaha instead of coming to UND this fall. Knight was told to stay in the AJHL b/c the Sioux coaches preferred him develop there as opposed to being stuck on the 3rd or 4th line next season. It's possible they told Mattson the same thing, which tells me they expect both of them to be impact players right away when they come in 2010.
  13. Is there an echo in the room?
  14. I'm going to guess this as well. This says so as well, but I haven't seen an official announcement so I'm waiting for that: http://www.ushl.com/ncaa/
  15. Rowney is for sure coming. Just got the news on my twitter.
  16. Last year Capt- Dunc A's - Finley, Jones, Watkins Year before- Capt- Kaip A's - Dunc, Chorney, and Oshie (but he got his taken away) Year before THAT- Capt- Porter A's - Toews, Kaip, Fabian * And that's as far back as my semi-photographic memory will go.
  17. Not really... I didn't say he is FOR SURE coming. I said I WOULD GUESS he is for sure coming. meaning, in my opinion.
  18. Gregoire or Hextall I could go with on the last one. Agree on skipping the junior class.
  19. I'm guessing Rowney is for sure coming... still haven't heard anything on if Forney is coming back, but it sounds like it might be the case.
  20. Genoway will be captain. The signs have already been there for the past 2 seasons. Vandy and Zajac with the A's...not sure on the other A.
  21. I hate to do this, but Mattson IS going to Omaha this fall. Just got the text from my twitter.
  22. I was wondering about that as well... it sounded like it hadn't happened yet, but i did my own research and found out it was last weekend, so it seemed odd to me as well.
  23. As of a month ago (a while ago, i know) it was still up in the air if Rowney is coming in the fall. According to this.... http://www.dailyheraldtribune.com/ArticleD....aspx?e=1547585 The list of players who won
  24. Did some research... Knight is staying in the AJHL according to this... http://www.discoverfoothills.com/index.php...&Itemid=258 The Okotoks Oilers will have sniper Corban Knight back for another year. The talented forward has been offered a scholarship to the University of North Dakota but they want him to stay here for another year. That's music to the ears of Oilers Coach Dan MacDonald. He says it's really big for the Oilers because Knight's such a great offensive player and brings solid leadership to the team. He says they should do very well with Knight back in the line-up for another year. MacDonald says he talked to the coaches with the Fighting Sioux and they indicated it's better for Knight to stay here and be a star versus being a 3rd or 4th line player with them.
  25. I'll agree with that, he didn't play that well, him and the rest of Team Canada. But I saw a couple of Canada's other game's and he looked pretty good in those to me.
