  1. well guys... i'm feeling better about this game...
  2. My hopes are just fine, thanks. Everyone likes their chances against us without Chay. This is nothing new. We'll see, we'll see....
  3. Just a small clarification...at Tech we wore the black ones on SATURDAY. But I'm guessing you might have meant the last time we wore them during a weekend series and not that we wore them both games. I'm guessing if we wear them at all it would be a Saturday game. That tends to be how it goes.
  4. They ALWAYS bring both the greens and the blacks. They did a "behind the scenes" episode of BMT last year where they talked about that kind of thing. I think one comment was made where one time they didn't bring the blacks and Hak wanted to wear them so they had to get them flown in or something like that. It is on a "gut" feeling...
  5. In Duluth's game notes for this weekend, it said the games were available on Comcast cable in the Cities. If anyone knows anything about this as far as channels and such... please post. It could be misinformation for all I know, but it'd be great to be able to watch the game as live webcasts just don't work on my computer for some reason...
  6. Not to be technical, but I'm pretty sure Mattson and Forbort weren't "signed" -- they were "committed" but they weren't signed by means of an NLI. Still aren't. And like it's been said before, you get a player like Olsen to come here and you make it work. Wow. I'm really being a smart ass today.
  7. Malone's not leaving early. Straight from the horse's mouth. LaPoint wasn't THAT high of a draft pick. 4th rounder, right? He stays too. Kristo....I'll give you that one. But I think he'll be here at least another year. On the topic of Gregoire, I think he'll be here through at least his junior year. All these guys that are potential to leave early are not going to make the jump straight to the big club in the NHL. They are going to have to have some AHL seasoning. I'm not real sure a lot of them would be all that enthused to leave school early for that. Depends on the person I guess, but that's the vibe I get.
  8. But Minnesota's soft on defense....
  9. TRUPPER! one of these days he's gotta come through for me
  10. I'm not surprised, yet this is still depressing. I'm still holding out hope for sooner rather than later.
  11. OMG. I know! I almost responded to some of his posts but held back as I have not entirely calmed down from the events of the weekend. Miami really hasn't played all that well lately either, so it will be interesting to see how that goes. I haven't been that impressed with Miami in what little I've seen of them, but I welcome the challenge to what they bring. I also hope Chay's recovery is going well and will look forward to seeing him back on the ice whenever that happens to be. Am hoping to see him play this weekend, but I'm not holding my breath. His leadership is definitely missed.
  12. That would be an accurate comparison. There's that kind of tourney and then they have tourney's like the GLI and Icebreaker.
  13. There are different kinds of tournaments. I'd still call it one since it involves multiple teams. This is what they called a "Showcase" -- I heard Hak talking about this last year on the radio or something.
  14. this is a f***ing joke!
  15. I'm getting tired of this.......... it's getting OLD.
  16. yeah...mine sucks. it keeps skipping out. not happy i bought it right now. i may just follow on the live chat i guess...
  17. Sharp will go before Seabrook. Heard it here first. (okay, probably not) The talk about the Hawks core players has to include Seabrook, along with the 3 mentioned already. I'm not entirely sure Kane's deal is going to be more than Toews. That might just be speculation, and if it is I doubt it's much more. I'd expect their deals to be pretty similar. They have the same agent. (maybe that doesn't matter, but if it was me...)
  18. I would guess they will be letting some other players go. There are several players that are rumored to be on the trading block. If the Blackhawks wanted to keep their big 3 (Toews, Kane and Keith) they knew they'd have to sacrifice some other players.
  19. Ugh. I'm going to lose sleep at night. I hope for a safe and speedy recovery for Chay.
  20. I'm waiting for lots of makeup calls.... WHERE'S MY FREAKING GOAL!
  21. i was referring to your comment about the number 2 national ranking
  22. Chay out "indefinitely" per the radio. I hope for a speedy recovery for Chay.
  23. irrelevant...
  24. No Chay tonight. I expected that, but I'm still nervous.
  25. Exactly. It's hockey not a freaking tea party. the code of conduct sucks the life out of the arena, particularly the student section, it was already apparent on tv. I feel my fan participation should not have to be put on a leash. I understand the swearing is a concern around children. but i also know they are going to be exposed to that at some point in their life and you can only shield them from it for so long. (just my opionion) Some people just have foul mouths (i will admit to being one of them when i'm angry) -- but you don't have to go to a hockey game to see that. I'm all for making games a pleasant environment for everyone, including opposing fans as I've been on the opposite side of that before, but i just wish it could have been done without taking the away from the atmosphere of the game. I hope this will challenge the students and others to figure out a way to maintain a good, LOUD, game atmosphere at the arena without violating the "code."
