  1. Did you hit your head? The point is that when the Wild were looking for offense from the blue line, they called up some other D-man from Houston that produced less than Chay did. I think that is the part that made no sense to me. But in looking back at the Wild's pattern in calling up players this year, players that played in Houston prior to this year got the nod over newbies. Hopefully Chay will get more of a chance this year.
  2. Hextall was injured every season he played at UND. I'm not sure how that equates to "gone as far as he could"
  3. I just don't like them, so I'm not going to say nice things about them. Bad guys here or not, I don't support their methods of continuous recruitment/harassment of committed kids. Poaching isn't the right word always, but sometimes it is. Again, sometimes this is all on the kid, these NTDP kids lack something...
  4. The NTDP effect. It's kind of weird that those NTDP kids are the main ones we hear about decommiting these days...
  5. I will bet good money on the Gophers.
  6. You just can't explain it. That's how meaningful it is. I think the best things are things you can't explain. People who haven't gotten to experience it have no clue - and probably think you're crazy because you love it so much.
  7. Not to butt in on this argument, but it's a bit off base to say someone can't accept reality for having a difference of opinion. We live in America. This is OK.
  8. I was joking to a friend that we should offer one to the Gophers... obviously I wasn't serious, just making a point that we have goaltending depth. It was a good chuckle.
  9. Not too many agree with you.
  10. that's the million dollar question.
  11. Local Minnesota teams? Like UMD and SCSU? Okay. Obviously you're referring to the big ten teams... Just say it.
  12. My hometown, which is 5,000 population changed our name when I was in 5th grade. It was a vote of students from high school on down to at least middle school. Not sure if elementary students voted. We had a list of 5 names to vote from. Ironically, none of them won as there was apparently a write in campaign for another name that won out. I agree that it should be done by students. It is their school. Though I also agree alumni and others do have a stake in the university as well. I'm sure the process will be ironed out in the future.
  13. I feel safer downtown Minneapolis that in Uptown, where you get approached by cocaine dealers...
  14. Each recruit is different - in this case you are talking about two local kids who bleed Sioux green. The recruits I worry about are non-locals who don't seem as committed. You can pick them out pretty good IMO
  15. I was debating about going as well.. Oh! A schedule! http://www.lincolnstarsblog.com/2011/05/2011-lincoln-stars-tryout-camp-schedule.html You're welcome.
  16. No. To both questions. This wad addressed in another thread as well
  17. He already said he would be no matter what his dad does. It didn't matter when his dad was at scsu. Doubt this changes anything. His dad doesn't stay in one place very long anyways.
  18. From what I heard, JT was never planning on coming. He said he was fully committed... unless the team that drafts him wants him to do something else.
  19. While I agree with you, I'm also not going to brand him as Satan for making a few mistakes in his young life. Been there...done that.
  20. Luke says the rumors are not true about the WHL.
  21. I hear the same thing. I have some mutual friends with his older sister.
  22. I question your source at this point.
  23. How many regionals has MInny hosted recently? I've lost count. I rest my case.
  24. Yup, I had heard that as well. He could have played in Des Moines if he wanted.
