I'm weary about that, as the comment was from a fan of the WHL team that has his rights, but it's a legitimate fear.

My thoughts: the coaching staff really does know what's up. Getting Saunders to come is huge with Dell leaving. (I admit I'm surprised on that departure). But having a goalie on our roster with collegiate experience is huge.

I'm disappointed Nelson is going, but even if Kristo goes, and some other guy goes, I still feel good about next year's core. Defense will be solid once again, and look at all the experience guys like Parks and MacMillan got. They played a lot down the stretch, and in some big games. Add in a couple more healthy bodies and I think next year looks promising. I'm calm. Though I am one of the few people that predicted a 3-peat at the Final Five back in November. I'm probably more glass half-full than half-empty. haha.

He was demoted with two others, one of whom is a BC recruit. He isnt high end in the way Schmaltz is high end. He was demoted because the U18s sucked at an international tournament and they are trying to find the solution as to why. Miles will be a good college player, whether he is drafted or not. I don't tend to worry until they get to campus. The coaches know what they are doing. He will be here in the fall unless you really want the WHL to take him away, and I don't, personally.

Have you seen him play this year? If not, I'm not sure anyone here is in a position to judge. I heard an opinion about him being "misused" by the NTDP. Keep in mind he doesn't turn 18 until this summer, so he is still pretty young.

Hak didn't meet the qualifications because he wasn't the league coach of the year and we didn't qualify for the Frozen. That's how finalists are picked.

I'm sorry, but i think that is off base. I was at regionals this weekend and the advantages were all tilted in one direction. I don't see much difference between home crowd and home ice. It's all the same to me.

Nope, it's based on early departures. Kind of like it we have forward departures, we have an option to bring in a couple other recruits there. Jones decision has no bearing on other recruits. Jones would be a bonus. When Ladue committed, he was 2013 unless there are early departures.

I don't think LaDue will come unless there's an early departure or two on D. We're pretty stacked there. I'd bet there's another year in Lincoln for him. If Jones decides not to come to UND, it's not like they'll bring another guy in. Seth Jones is one of those guys where you MAKE room. We could have 7 returning D and bring in Schmaltz to make it 8. So unless there's a couple departures and Jones doesn't come, no one else will be brought in.

Minnesota's a good team. But I won't call them better because that word can be interpreted a couple ways. I wouldn't trade any of our players for any of theirs for anything.

This year will be another light year for drafted recruits due to a smaller incoming class. 2013 looks to be a bigger class of recruits as far as drafting goes.
