I believe that team had something like 13 freshman.

He has not played well this weekend. Every time I notice him it is for poor play. I can understand why he didn’t make the world juniors. Still a freshman but he needs to pick it up a bit.

NFC seeding: 1. Detroit 15-2 2. Philadelphia 14-3 3. Tampa 10-7 4. LA 10-7 5. Minnesota 14-3 6. Washington 12-5 7. Green Bay 11-6 All three wildcards have better records than two division winners. The NFL needs to do better. Giving home field to teams that win poor divisions is a joke. Home field is too big of an advantage to give it to teams that didn’t earn it during the regular season. i would suggest a point system where a win is worth two points, a tie is one point and winning a division is worth a three point bonus. Under that system the seeding would be: 1. Detroit 15-2 33 points 2. Philadelphia 14-3 31 points 3. Minnesota 14-3 28 points 4. Washington 12-5 24 points 5. Tampa 10-7 23 points 6. LA 10-7 23 points 7. Green Bay 11-6 22 points For the most part home field advantage in the other major sports is irrelevant because the playoffs are a best of seven (usually) series.

We were down 2-0 and started the second period on the power play. Jake Schmaltz being out there to begin the power play tells me all I need to know about the coaching and talent on this team.

This team is brutal. Can’t pass, can’t shoot, can’t defend. Long past time for a coaching change. So frustrating to watch this crap.

Looks a lot like the fist half of the season. No reason to think anything will change. We are what we are, an average hockey team.

Looks like it’s time to prepare for the conference tourney. Only chance to make the NC$$ tourney so we can lose another first round game.

Need sweeps. Splits are not helpful and getting swept is a disaster. Need to start turning the season around beginning with this weekend. No excuses.

They’re an extra point away from a two score lead. I’ve always thought a 9 point lead was a two score lead.

They had their shot last drive and failed miserably. Looks like NDSU will score here and end the game.

I certainly hope not.

I would be very hesitant to sign Darnold to an extension. Going to cost too much and I’m not sure he is the long term answer. Even tagging him for one year will be costly and the Vikings have a lot of other needs to take care of. This is a pretty old roster and they have very few drafts picks next year. They have done a terrible job drafting the last number of years now. Let’s see how the playoffs go but I have a feeling they are one and done. If Darnold can get a few playoff wins I might be convinced to franchise tag him but I have concerns about how long he holds the ball and that too many of his throws are high, just think his accuracy is not quite where it needs to be.

Very big. A loss makes a Super Bowl appearance highly unlikely. Winning three straight road games is significantly harder than winning two home games. A loss tonight means they will play the Rams next weekend, not a good matchup for the Vikings defense.

Slather is in his 6th year at UND. overall record: 67-105 (.390) conference record: 33-53 (.384) Only season above .500 was last year (18-14). Unless this season turns around significantly it is time for a coaching change. This is certainly a difficult time to be a coach at a mid major and consistently win but we’ve got to be able to do better than this.
