Not sure I will miss Perron or OMac. Neither are hard on pucks and they commit too many turnovers. My lasting memory of Perron at UND will be the lazy turnover in the third period of the final game which contributed to our loss to WMU. it would’ve been nice for Boisvert to stay but in reality he was only here for one be more year. Good luck to him but his picture will never be up with the UND greats.

Good news. James is a player who has gotten progressively better each season so I expect a very good senior year. He is also has speed, something I felt the team overall was lacking.

I believe the portal opens the minute the head coach leaves.

What was the previous good news? Just kidding, I am willing to give Dane a chance. I hope he goes down as an all-time great coach at UND.

If true, I don’t think he is coming to GF for a vacation. Don’t believe it is for an interview either. No way he would resign as an assistant coach just to interview for head coach. My guess is he would be named head coach or at least an assistant to the new head coach.

Why change the current system when you are already getting tens of people attending some of the games?

Looks like this would still involve a day off, just combining two regionals into one.

I think Maine should have challenged for a 5 min major contact to the head. What do they have to lose?

I hope the goofs lose every damn game they play due to a missed call by the refs. When the Sioux lost the “.6” game to the goofs in the frozen four it was directly a result of a missed high sticking call in front of the net. The goof player that scored the winning goal high sticked Grimaldi which created enough space for him to get the shot off.

I took that as reaching out to one coach they know about. Could be others.

A few questIons I would like answered by Dane Jackson before I would consider promoting him: Why did the penalty kill perform so poorly for a large portion of the season? Why do we seem to have so much trouble passing and receiving the puck? Why are we constantly bringing in starting goalies from the portal every damn year? How do you plan to use the portal? Why is there no chemistry with the players? Line juggling, locker room issues, other? Why do we seem to have more injuries than other teams? Why do we seem to go into a shell in the 3rd period when leading? Are we trying to win games, or trying not to lose? Do we want an attack or defensive style of play? Any chance you would stop scheduling Bemidji State every year?

My guess is that they opened the coaching search with the hope of getting Hak to say yes. Since it appears that it won’t happen I suspect Dane will be named the next head coach by the end of the week. Not the way I would like to see it go but I don’t get to decide. Another tourney miss or two or continual first round failures in the next few years and we will be looking again for a new coach and also a new AD.

If Jackson gets the job he should get a much shorter leash than almost anyone else. There will be no honeymoon period, it’ll be “win now”.

Since UND has made a coaching change would the portal be open immediately?

We have now missed the NC$$ tourney in 4 of the past 8 seasons, including 2 of the last 3. It is definitely time for a head coaching change. Berry’s had 10 years and multiple chances to fix things. Instead the program sinks further and further from elite status. Chaves screwed up with keeping a football coach too long and he’s doing the same with the hockey program. Great leadership.

Hakstol certainly couldn’t match Berry’s NC$$ tourney record. Berry makes it so easy to schedule vacation plans for April because you know the seasons over with.

Unfortunately the same UND team showed up tonight that has been playing all season. Hard to believe we can continually make the same mistakes every game. TJ gave them a chance. Hard to understand Berry’s decisions on who plays and when, doesn’t make any sense. We play like a team that is scared and then we panic and make mistakes. The first two Western goals were the result of mistakes we made trying to get the puck out of the zone. It is time for Berry or Chaves to realize a head coaching change is not only necessary but mandatory.

Task is pretty clear now. Beat WMU tonight and Denver tomorrow night.

It appears from both charts that the Wild shoot twice at the section 110 end. The first chart is actually labeled as such while the second chart shows where their bench is. The bench would be at the end where you defend twice. If Western gets the Wild bench as suggested by the box office then UND would shoot twice at the section 123 end.
