  1. I may be interested- What is the price you have on that jersey?

Is the pit-to-pit measurement about 25" like a standard "M" jersey?  Sleeve about 20"?   Length 30"?

  2. South/Shanley hosts North tonight at 7:30pm at Scheels Arena. The video streams live on ShanleyTV.com - it is very well produced by high school standards (multi-cams, ISO replays, etc.) The students even do play by play and it is impressive for teenage kids. Across the the river the Spuds play East Grand Forks on WDAY xtra
  3. I agree....too bad CBS Sports Net or NBC Sports Net doesn't carry the Beanpot. I love these regional tournaments - lots of history too. BC's website has a link to free audio for their games. You usually get some crusty old commentator with a thick Boston accent providing the color commentary. The male equivalent of Rose Kennedy, basically.... "I remembah in the old Gahden, that was a helluvah Beanpahhhht Rahhhger."
  4. I think it could be similar to the way that NDHSAA does it now for Class B Basketball and how Minnesota does it for HS Hockey - They have a committee that sets 1-8 seeds or something like that. It really does keep the better teams in separate brackets - strengthening the integrity of a "best possible matchup" in the Championship.
  5. I would like to see North Dakota go to a two-weekend state "Super Tournament" that mixes in Regionals with State. Something like the top 16 seeded out and then you'd have round of 16 and final 8 the first weekend and then the following weekend you play the Semifinals on Friday and Championship on Saturday. Have one bracket play in Fargo/GF and the other in Minot/Bismarck and then the last weekend play at the Ralph. I know it's neat to have teams "make it to state" and earn a trip out East but I think the quality of the games would be more appealing and the #6 or #7 team out East would have a shot to knock off a #2 or #3 team from the west in a Round of 16 game.
  6. I'm going to be at the Omaha game on February 24th and I am strongly considering making it up early that day to attend the UND Fans Luncheon. Dean always delivers the goods at those lunches when the opposing team's coach has the chance to talk. This could be a special day to pay some tributes to a man who has had a huge impact on College Hockey for the last 30+ years.
  7. The Davies vs South/Shanley game a couple weeks ago was a good contest but you knew in the end Davies was the better of the two teams. South had North and Central this week (both in Fargo) but they will only finish 5th. It would be surprising if the four teams out of the East are anyone other than Central, RR, DL, or Davies.
  8. I'm off the opinion that goes for all players who are less than probable. Another week of rest and then a suddenly huge weekend in Kalamazoo February 17 and 18 and then dates with Omaha & Miami - there needs to be a good run to go 4-2 in that stretch to secure home ice and/or Pairwise comfort. This of course, comes after a sweep or at least a 5pt weekend vs. SCSU.
  9. It could very well be Michigan Tech, Duluth, Minnesota, North Dakota. If you squint, and tilt your head, it kind of looks like an old WCHA Final Five weekend.
  10. Seal the deal tomorrow and keep this road game mojo going. Nice final 40 minutes tonight.
  11. Nice rally here by the boys. Really good to see some goals come from unlikely places, that's huge.
  12. Easily one of my favorite road trip games of the season. All Hail Bewildered CC Tiger Head Replay Graphic UND 4-1, 2-1(ot)
  13. Can't say I have a strong opinion about Miami. They along with Western Michigan don't really get my blood boiling. I've appreciated Blasi's style and a few years ago when UND and Miami skated to a 5-5 tie (one Thanksgiving weekend if I recall) it was a high-energy, well-played game. But a sweep would be nice to witness this weekend!
  14. Memories of watching KTHI's coverage of the 1984 National Third Place game from Lake Placid, NY when I think of this UND-Michigan State matchup. Dean Barsness goal in OT to win it was a great moment for the Senior. Angry Birds 6-1, 3-0
  15. Ticketmaster has a lot available that weekend, I know I just picked some lower bowl ones up (four together) for Black Friday. If you enter SUBWAY into the promotion field, Adult tickets are reduced to $27.50. Even with Ticketmaster fees you are coming out better than if you buy tickets for face value. Just thought I'd share....always fun when a Big 10 team comes to town for some Holiday Hockey.
  16. The only word that comes to mind is "family". Like many of you, I watched this celebration unfold with my wife and kids. Kids I have watched grow up deeply immersed in their love for this team. Watching the boys in green spill onto the ice at the buzzer was surreal. Our love of this program through the years has introduced new family and friends to the experience of game day at The Ralph. It all speaks to togetherness. Not to mention, the friendships I have formed through the years. We have stumbled upon something special as members of NoDak Nation. Family is also what his program is all about. It is tradition, and legacy and it doesn't stop in 2016. It's endures. How special it is to share this new championship experience with those who haven't felt it before.
  17. Earlier today i was listening to the NCAA Midwest Regional preview show on Cincinnati's WKRP. Les Nessman feels that Notre Dame, much like himself, is much maligned and isn't receiving the credit he deserves. "Beware the sleeping dog," he mutters. "It may be Good Friday but this clan of Catholics is capable of staying focused and taking it to their Ann Arbor rivals." "Michigan's all class," Herb Tarlek retorts. "Their helmets are as tacky as my cheap suits but make no mistake, they are explosive and fiery. Their top line has a trio of Hobey Baker candidates and their coach has made a career out of making opposing teams see Red." Venus Flytrap counters with the team that has all the style, flash, and exuberance of a winner. "Northeastern is where it's at," he coolly noted. "After humble beginnings the downtrodden have risen to the pinnacle of the sport. Their howl is fierce and there ain't nothin' slowing this team down." And finally Dr. Johnny Fever chimes in, singing the praises of the #1 Seed, North Dakota. "As sure as turkeys can fly, this team can dominate this tournament," Fever confidently proclaimed. "I've seen them rise to the Head of the Class - and I should know a thing or two about that. I know they wanted to go to St. Paul but this team's getting kind of tired of packin' and unpackin', from town to town, up and down the dial. Maybe UND was never meant to be....ah heck, just call it a Frozen Four once more." Then Jennifer Marlow walked in and no one cared about hockey anymore.
  18. Let the games begin. Frozen Four #22 and Natty #8 in our sights. Qunnipiac, BC and Denver: See you in Tampa.
  19. The biggest suspense is if Denver and Michigan get swapped. We have some scores to settle with Big Blue and it would be pretty neat to end Red Berenson's career in the Region Final if it comes to that. Northeastern will be a real battle though; can't say I'm thrilled. I would much rather have Ferris Buehler State. A matchup to watch could be Yale vs. Mass-Lowell. Lowell may be gassed after a lot of hockey this weekend. Sort of reminds me of UND in 2010....three battles with the Gophers and three games at the X, left nothing in the tank of NCAAs. Yale was idle this weekend.
  20. You gotta think Gwoz is the favorite, being a U of W alum and all.
  21. Saturday Night Hammer said the games were at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Glad to see it's actually 4pm as that is at least doable for getting out of work. But yeah, 7:30pm would be best. The afternoon game has such a Junior Varsity feel to it.
  22. This is great but Penn State and Michigan Tech are also not on here
