I saw on there they have the "force of the north" as trademarked verbage for und. I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't affiliated with the new nickname and the und interlocking logo is the official logo for UND.

Is there NCAA policy that mandates a university have a nickname?

it will be interesting to see what happens with the uniforms this year as some have speculated about new ones being unveiled. get your sioux jerseys now with the logos as they will be collector's items in about a year.

yep vv hasn't even officially said he's coming back yet. all we have is a bunch of hearsay that says he is. until it comes directly from him I wouldn't put too much into it.

I still think there will be some kind of deal between the ccha and wcha in that each have a cha member applying that would leave each conference with an odd number. I could see something like if it were omaha to come over that the ccha would get some postseason $$$ for a few years if omaha were to make the final six.

geographically speaking it would make much more sense to flip us and mankato which would suck.

agreed. heading into the season I'd put DU 1 and the Sioux as 2 just because I have more faith in Chevrie than BE at this point. BE kind of collapsed at the end of the year. offensively they both have some fire power returning and coming in.

If we've learned anything from Hak, he will juggle lines early, and he will move guys in and out of starting lineup.
