I'm not sure he knows how to light a fire under the boys' ass considering how many times over the last 4+ years they have come out flat for a game.

we go 1 for 24 on the pp this weekend. BE and AW will each give up 5 goals. Mavs 5-2,5-1.

ahh, forgot about the hot goalie syndrome we have here. we make them look like all-americans against us and the very next game they get lit up for 5 goals.

difference between this years struggles and the previous year's is that we could at least hang our hat on something, i.e. defense or goaltending. this year I haven't seen an area where we will excel. I can think of several areas where we aren't exceling-defense,goaltending, offense and special teams. Question I have is UND quickly becomg a place where scorers come to die? I mean we have all these recruits who come in and put up incredible numbers in juniors and they get here and they struggle to put up 5-10 goals a year.

only if he's 100% otherwise he won't make a difference.

how about putting Miller and Martens on the same line. as I remember they had some good chemistry last year.

there is nothing I saw this weekend to make me think anything different at this point. for supposedly being one of the elite collegiate hockey programs in the country with a rich history of winning basically what I heard after yesterday's game was it was ACCEPTABLE to lose to a bottom feeding team from hockey east because "we got a lot of positives out of it that we can build on". what a crock of s@#$. if this team wants to be able to do anything in march let alone april that attitude needs to change and change quickly. Teams of the past that had heart and character would not have come out and lost yesterday to a crap team and make their crap goalie look like a frickin All-American. it is one thing to lose to BU, but UMASS, come on. We are not in the same league as CC,Denver,BC,BU andMichigan. in fact we don't even belong on the same ice as them right now. things need to turn around and turn around quickly otherwise this could be a VERY,VERY,VERY long season. can someone please tell me why it takes the Sioux a half of season to find chemistry and look like they know what their doing on the ice and other teams can do it right off the bat? BU and UMASS sure as hell looked like they knew what they were doing-we looked very lost and not very interested in what was going on. this team does not have the talent to just show up and win a game as in years past.

the Mavs will be buzzing as they believe they are a better team than us-and at this point who's to disagree. any bets that we aren't down by at least two goals at the end of the first period on friday?

how about the possibility of being 3-15 at the x-mas break, there will come a year when pissing around in the first half will catch up with us and we won't be able to recover-this squad doesn't have the talent or character to do it this year.

this is a dark day in UND Men's Hockey Program History as the women's team has a better record than the men's team.

different goalie, but doesn't look like anything has changed from our last performance in Denver. once again we looked awfully slow-not good. hak said he had a hard time filling out his preseason coaches poll and everytime he put a team down to finish 7 or 8 he changed it saying no way could that team finish there. well, if this type of performance continues it won't be hard to see us finishing there.

Sadly enough, I think we got our answer.

I love the makeup of this team, and I stress the word team as we're not loaded with superstars, but a lot of quality players who can get the job done. I could care less where INCH thinks where we'll finish. I am looking forward to another trip to the FF and this year getting two wins that weekend and when it's all said and done Duncan will go down as one of the greatest players ever to wear the Fighting Sioux uniform and he'll have a ring to show off as well. Is it Sunday yet???

agreed. come on these first three games are a frickin joke for a school that is hyping the move to DI. two divsion 2 schools and a division 3 school come on. you mean to tell me that they could find a bottom feeding DI school to come up here ala valpo like the NDSU when they kicked off their move to DI? wasn't northern colorado available? I can understand scheduling problems but to have your first three games be these three, what a joke. I'm a FSC member and won't be dishing out money for football season tickets anyime soon.

there will be an issue that comes up with you that will make your decision easy. I had that happen to me earlier this week, and as I lifelong Democrat I will not be voting for Obama but McCain. there really are huge differences between the two. She's not my first choice as a VP candidate but if God forbid soemthing were to happen she would have quality people around her to help advise her. She is less of a risk than Obama on certain issues domestically, foreign or moraly(sp). remember you vote for the top of the ticket.

I agree. did coach K get canned at Duke for making it to all those Final Fours with no title? no and neither will Hak. I truly believe that by the time Hak leaves UND he will have 2 or 3 under his belt.

guess I'll be making the trek to the Twin Cities for my first Final Five instead. not a bad consolation prize.
