  1. agreed, but not only that but last year we didn't get much scoring from most of those who came back and with the loss os oshie, chorney, and bina last year I could see why some had some big questions for us-goaltending and scoring. most of us on this board when we make predictions for the sioux do it with kelly green glasses on and those outside of this board don't. 7th was a bit low for a prediction for us but as it turned out first was too high for cc. and heck through the end of november that seventh place finish was looking as too high of prediction.
  2. I remeber mcloud saying during one of the gopher telecastes that they have asked to ncaa for more games and the ncaa has said no.
  3. one thing to keep in mind is if we start losing d1 hockey teams the number of teams allowed into the tournament(16) could be dropped, say back to 12. we just lost wayne state, who knows what may or may not happen with bowling green and then you have bsu and alabama huntsville that could be 4 teams with 3-4 years.
  4. what does the (home-away) mean?
  5. no frickin canadian teams.
  6. If VV comes back I see us being a top three team in the league. one thing I'd like to see next year is seeing Frattin play the whole year. each of the last two years basically after nov 30 he hasn't been heard from.
  7. thanks.
  8. according to brad's blog bachman left cc, when did this happen? over the weekend?
  9. then we'd lose the cup again
  10. I've heard or seen northern mich more than once. however the logical choice would be omaha but they don't want to move becasue of the draw power of michigan, mich state and ohio state football(name recognition).
  11. I still believe that with bsu applying to the wcha(which would give us 11) and ala-huntsville applying to the ccha(would give them 13) that there will be a team moving from the ccha to the wcha to make this work. I think that both will recieve acceptence to the respective confrences and a deal will be worked out between the two leagues to make this work.
  12. who?
  13. this crap again? chay was und's best player on the ice numerous times this season. he is not the reason why our season ended on saturday. the 09-10 team will be a better team with him on it. our problems this year on the defensive end were players(both d and f) who couldn't get the puck out of our own zone and this was magnified when lapoint went down. I am hoping that with the crop of d players coming in this issue can be resolved.
  14. somebody earlier in the thread put the odds of vv leaving at 70%-I think that would be accurate as I talked to one of the players parents this weekend after saturday's game and they said that vv was getting a lot of pressure from edmonton to leave. despite the fact that we had 8 seniors on this team I still would have classified it as a bit of a rebuilding year and with what we have coming back and coming in next year could lead to some very exciting things. other than duncan and finley (despite what others might say the) there were no real high end players this season from the senior class. yes kozek had a good year last year but that was it in his 4 years here. the majority of them were role players and they played damn well in those roles.
  15. looks like wisconsin's jamie mcbain is gone signing a deal with the albany river rats.
  16. just goes to show that all teams have some injury issues att his time of the year. hopefully watty will be back.
  17. son of a @@@@@.
  18. I would like to believe this but for the past month and a half our pp has struggled and there have been no changes to it. my guess is it will be status quo and hope for the best this weekend.
  19. and now they get to play in front of several hundred sioux fans opposed to 5,000. but I gues playing in front of a ton of sioux fans this weekend didn't do anything for them. so maybe the fewer the better.
  20. the Sioux actually only played two games in two days, although it seemed like three with as bad as they played. maybe both teams at this point should decline to the pp's and just play 5 on 5. it would probably make for better hockey.
  21. count me as one of that possible 25%.
  22. maybe eades will take the team for a trip down memory lane in that the 81-82 lost it's last two games in the wcha playoffs to the badgers and went on to win the title. so losing the last two games isn't the worse thing in the world-maybe.
  23. their pk wasn't too bad this weekend, the pp on the other hand....
  24. yep. those of you who live out east and know about manchester-what's there to do and where are some good places to eat?
  25. I think the Sioux will be in Manchester-which maybe is a good thing to have to play a host team on basically home ice. it might get their focus a little more and plus why should they be rewarded for their performance this past weekend. duluth could end up in minneapolis instead of us. for our performance this weekend we should get the toughest bracket. UND-UNH will be a battle of teams with losing streaks.
