I think Big Mac asside we don't have any really defensive defenseman. we have a lot of skilled offensive d. we have been spoiled over the past how many years with bigger bruising dmen whose main objective was to make opponents pay with pain not to score and create offensive opportunities.. we don't have that this year. hence our in zone d has been a liability so far and probably will for the most part this season. which makes it more important that they find a way to score 4 plus goals a game. as we'll be giving up 3-4 on a more consistent basis.

not feeling to confident about this weekend. we come off our worst weekend of the year despite getting 3 points. we'll be fortunate to get a split.

we are actually 2-2 in NC as the UAA a NC game as well.

that was the first half of the 07-08 season it lasted all the way through first week of january until we had a home series against tech the second week of january and swept them and proceeded to go on a 18 or 19 game unbeaten streak after that.

some poor team is gonna get a 7 spot hung on them one of these weekends, might as well be this weekend. I know it's early but we need a 4 point weekend just to avoid falling too far back inthe standings.

this team is no more than a .500 team right now as they aren't mature enough to put two decent games together in a row. we have a horrific pp, piss poor d and can't score period. what is the point of being all excited about these players coming back if they don't produce. with the supposed "talent" on this team it shouldn't be a struggle to score 4 goals a game. denver lost more than us this off season and doesn't have any troubles scoring.

this is a very average hockey time right now. not any different at this point of the season than any other hakstol team in november. I was not impressed with either team this weekend. this squad right now has no flow and a brutal power play.

we might have to forfit(sp) next fridays game at this rate with suspensions and injuries. if rowney and parks are out that would leave us down to what 15 players?

I wonder if Parks is out for an extended period of time if there is any chance Hak would move one of the Alaska suspensions from friday to saturday to avoid a roster that is two players short?

I hope I am wrong but I envision a bit of a slow start with two unproven goalies and possibly a few 5-4, 6-5 type games.

this could be a good thing if hammer decides he wants to stick it out as he has a history recently of not sticking with career moves.

a source has said suter has an dea he wants to go to where parise goes. if that is the case it rules the hawks out.

so being it is almost the end of june can we safely say Mr. Bjugstad will be coming back to Minnesota?

it's probably a little early to start thinking about pairwise implications. that said coming out of those first three weeks at 5-1 or 4-2 will be alright for this club. I don't envision a slow start for this squad with all that is coming back.

yeah just take a look at where the midwest and west regionals are next year(grand rapids and toledo), I would take a regional every at the X over those.

INCH came out with it's "early" preseason top ten has UNDlisted at number 3 and the goophs 1 and michigan 2.
