considering this is a non UND thread, sounds more and more like mr. bjugstad will be staying at minnesota for another year. his dad is pushing him to stay and sounds like florida won't pressure him either. that is good for college hockey to keep these kids as long as possible. that just means minny should be the preseason favorite for the WCHA and preseason number one nationally. I know it would take some divine intervention(sp) but I hope kristo would stay and with what we have coming back and coming in we could give them a run.

couldn't agree more, if he were to be staying you would think he would just come out and say it. my guess is sometime in the next month or so we will hear he has withdrawn from school, just like gregoire.

everyday that goes by without word from kristo that he is staying is not good. it reminds me of last year with gregoire and then boom he announces in may he is withdrawing from school. I just see the kristo situation ending up the same way.

needless to say I am not a fan of kids leaving early no matter what the sport.

or last year when the prohibitive favorite got beat in the semis as well and the team that beat them lost in finals.

if these kids are good enough to leave early and go straight to the NHL then yeah I will wish them well. but leaving early to go play minor league hockey in crap arenas with 2000 people no I won't wish them well. and none of these players we hear about leaving early this year are going straight to the NHL, in fact some will never,ever see the NHL. they have it made so well here and you have all these players who left early and have come back and said they regret it, but that don't mean squat to these kids. I'm sure we'll hear stories down the road about dell coming back and saying he regrets leaving early too.

kind of looks like it, my feeling has always been if they don't want to be here then let them go and ride the buses while bouncing around in the in the minors making minimum wage.

we go from the prospects of being a team loaded to one that is yet another one line team with little or no scoring depth beyond the first line, assuming kristo is gone as well.

these kids always think the grass is always greener but yet come back and say how they regret their decision. well they can regret it all they want as they go and cash their paycheck. hopefully brock doesn't spend the majority of the year in the minors but that is the chance he is taking with paycheck in hand.

if whoever the winner is between bc and the gophs doesn't win the title it will be a considered a HUGE upset as neither union or ferris are of of the caliber of those two teams.

I'm a little concerned about und's turnout as und is still selling out of their allottment(sp). one would have thought that would have been gone within a day.

the guys at CHN have been almost spot on the past few years at predicting the final bracket, they have us heading to st paul.

my thought is they would send und to st. paul if they are the fourth seed as they wouyld be the lowest 1 seed and if you have a rule that a host school has to play at that site, bracket integrety sometimes will have to go out the window. bc and michigan would prob be protected from playing in st paul being they are two highest seeds.

couldn't agree more. I hope we didn't empty our tank in the third period last night as we still have a championship toplay for tonight. tonight we finished what we couldn't on sat nights in duluth and denver. now let's seal the deal tonight and head back to the x next weekend.
