I still have a hard time finding another weekend other than bemidji where we get more than 2 points: scsu 2, wisc 2, omaha 2, denver 2, bemidji 4, msum 2. this would probably leave und in fourth and having to play someone like cc or duluth in the first round. omaha has the inside track to 2nd place with the cupcake schedule they have left.

is there any particular reason that in two out of und's last three games they have ony had one pp each game? is it something the players are or aren't doing? they one one against cc on sat night and one against the gophers on sat night.

I would ammend this by saying you want to be in the top two to avoid having to play on thursday and possibly having to play 3 games in three days. which is stupid as no other conference does this I beleive.

nothing that happened on sat night changed my opnion of what I had sat morning. minnesota is still by far the better team, I do feel our chances of winning the cup are out the window, we are struggling right now and I do not want to see minnesota again this season. only thing positive is we didn't get swept but on the other hand we didn't get a split either. you have the number one team down by two goals with less than 10 minutes to play and can't win doesn't say a whole lot for a team that is supposed to have the potential to do "special" things this season. a 4-4 tie doesn't mean you hang with the best, alll it says is you can't beat them. I see a 7-5 finish the rest of the regular season and that assumes we sweep the beavers.

IMHO UND is not very good right now since they came back from break. you are right in that titles aren't won in january, but they can be lost. anything short of a win tonight and for all intense and purposes we don't win the cup.

we had chemistry before the break with mark mac on the top line and rocco, rowney and drake on a line. but after x-mas hak decided to blow everything and looks like we killed all chemistry we had and now we're are stuck hoping for our favorite squad to play a perfect game to have any chance at a win. what a great start to the second half.
