nope, I've been a Cubs fan for most of my life and still follow just a passionately as I did 20 years ago. the difference is this program is EXPECTED to compete for a national title every year and with that comes the expectation of winning one every now and then. with the Cubs they are rarely expected to do anything but I still follow them.

absolutely. but better yet how about the DOT line beats BC that year in St. Louis and we take care of Mich State for number 8.

I'm no sre how a team 7th in the paiwise and ranked 5th nationaly can fly under the radar? but I do think the inconsistency of this team as someone on here eluded to earlier could be the thing that ends their season earleier then any of us want.

in fairness though we got away with alot as well. the refs were consistent in virtually not calling anything.

I will say this, it seems like some people on this board believe that winning the final five is more important than winning a nat title. I would trade a nat title for any of the last three FF championships.

the second goal last night was not a good goal.

I wouldn't say we played poorly both nights esecially last night. the effort was there, the finishing was not. their goaltender was not the perverbial "hot goalie" either. we just didn't bury our chances when we had the opportunity. the part that sucks is heading into last night we controlled our own destiny, now we don't. we in all liklihood end up in third and face three in three at the x which sucks.

and anyone who atually thinks providence will actually win the hockey east tournament is off their rocker. I guess one nice thing about this is that there still are 4 more weekends of play before the ACTUAL brackets are announced. I also find it funny how moy thinks it seems like a bigger issue for niagara to be in toledo than miami. he has made that reference about wanting niagara in toledo in several of his bracketology blogs. if I'm the ncaa I would want miami there over niagara.

moy always tries to play the attendance thing and it never really is much of an issue come selection time. in the past the committee has shown very little regard for attendance and if they did they would go back to having on campus sites be hosts. this week's bracketis heavy on the attendance like trying to get niagara to toledo, like those 8 fans they bring will make a difference.

that's BS if that happens just to keep BC within driving range of Boston, you could very easily have UND out there.

I don't see that happening, Hak has made reference inthe past to that's is not how they do things here or something along those lines. these points are too precious to be starting tate for a game. now if we are up by four goals entering the third on sat night, that might be a different story.

yep, in refernce to the new conference the play by play man whoever he is said "if this is any indication of what hockey in february will be like between wisconsin and penn state this will be gorgeous hockey" OMG.

I thought so . I was being facetious for the most part. however, until this team learns how to play two consistent games in a weekend I still may be looking to sell those tickets the first week of april. this team is jekyll and hyde this second half-crap game friday night and good game saturday night. play like that will get you bounced in the first round. if the team that showed up last night shows up every night the rest of the way then we might have some bright things to look forward to. someone criticized my reasons for travel earlier. when I do plan a trip I do with full intent on seeing and expecting my team win, I don't do road trips for the overwhelming drinking and socializing like some, I go solely for the game(s). to each his own I guess.

reverse psycology

i had two options for away trips this year. this weekend in denver or holdout hopes of a trip to pittsburgh. glad I didn't shell out thousands for this weekend(positive) and at this point looks like I have no reason to keep tickets for frozen four.

inconsistent goaltending,ridiculous amount of bad goals allowed this year, lack of offense, lack of finishing, half the squad doesn't show up for most important game of year last night-3-2 DU.
