unless odonnell has transformed into crosby in the last two weeks there is no reason he should be in and rodwell out messing up chemistry on the fourth line. this is the problem with hakstol, always messing with the lines. i remember several years back the squad was struggling in november and they put like an 8 spot on cornell and next night he switched up every line and they lost 2-1. typical.

how does omaha get 3 points this weekend?

one of the reasons that happened in 2008 is because the wcha had 6 schools in and wisc and cc were hosts and you had 3 wcha schools as 2 seeds so it was unavoidable. i do think the ncaa will do all it can to avoid that of possible. now if the wcha has 6 teams in this year then yes that could happen again. unless omaha plays itself in here in the next few weeks I don't think it will be an issue. as it stands right now the wcha would have one 1 seed, 2 two seeds and two three seeds with enough room to wiggle around.

I think QU and minny have those two spots virtually locked up. highest we could get would probably be number 3 overall, and that would take probably losing no more than one more game here on out.

what 8-9-1 isn't going to cut it? that being said when it is all said and done I think msum will end up being a 3-4 seed, minny will be a one seed, und will be a two and scsu will be a two as well and denver a three. I've said it before I would love to end up being an 8 seed paired up in qu's bracket.

I think this coming weekend will be a real telltale sign of where this team is going. if und comes out and picks up 2 or 3 points we are headed for hell of a stretch run. if und comes out and lays an egg, all that happnend the last two weekends was for nothing.

correct me if I am wrong but didn't both teams have to play on crappy ice? that is a by-product of agreeing to playing in these novelty games. you don't get the best conditions. this is way too late in the season to be having these novelty games(goes for our game last week as well) points are too important this late in the season. if they want to do these things have them be non conference games over x-mas break.

some WCHA team is going to get paired up as a two seed in quinnipiac's regional and whoever that is will have a cakewalk to pittsburgh. kind of like duluth did in 2011 getting paired up with the then number one overall seed in yale.

agreed. because if you can get out of that first round without having to play a third game it puts you in much better position if you have to play 3 in 3 at the final five.

very nice weekend for the boys. beat my expectations. very good way to go into the off week before heading to denver for the beginning of the stretch run.
