is it just me or have the last few weeks seemed like how we played early in the season-getting outshot, outplayed and getting by with a win? if that is the case instead improving we are regressing.

how about even some regionals in the past?

on Saturday night April 13th UND will have a player be named MVP of the national tournament which will be more important than any other individual award given out this season in college hockey including the hobey baker which we have seen been a joke in year's past.

on sat night he didn't allow that comment and I tried sending it twice. and saturday night, no, they didn't give him any support as they scored 1 goal. we don't need to get into an argument over this, I know what their record is and all that is in the past now as we head into the post-season and we'll see what this team is really made of as now there aren't any do-overs or learning experiences for a bad friday night game.

I don't disagree. at times I have been very negative on here and at other times have been a realist and been accused of being negative. the point i was trying to make was that one of the people who has spent more time around that team than we ever will and sees more than we will is saying some of the same things some of us on this board have said and have been taken to the woodshed for saying.

schlossman didn't sound exactly overly positive when talking about this team stating their is a 50/50 chance this weekend goes three, a 25% chance of winning the final five and he can see them getting bounced in the first round or winning it all. wonder if he will get crucified at the herald or on their message boards for not stating positive things about this team all the time. or if jayson will ban him from the live chat this weekend.

not by any stretch of the imagination have we had a horrible feb/early march. but looking back some teams had horrendus play down the stretch and have gone on to win it all. BC was 5-6-1 heading into the HE tournament in 2008 and went on to steamroll their way to a NC and Duluth was 3-4-2 heading into the WCHA playoffs two years ago.

not if you are trying to tell your team they are better than their opponent .

I just have this feeling that if we make it pittsburgh we won't be let down this year. now getting there is the tricky part.

yep and maybe the last shot he takes wins the NC for us in OT.

don't forget they have made bigger strides than us this second half and have played cc and scsu tougher than we have .

you have to figure the law of averages at some point will tilt in our favor.

I don't know if I could say we played our best before x-mas. I think the best we looked all year was in omaha, and yet I can't say that was our best hockey. the inconsistency of this team is frustrating to say the least. but all it takes it getting hot the last weekend in march and second weekend in april. this team definately has the capability to do that, but will they remains to be seen. I'dlike to say they come out on friday and blow the doors off of tech, but that isn't the makeup of this team. they do everything the hard way. like I said before I think it will take us three games to get this done, hopefuly I am wrong. I am not trying to be neagative here, just being realistic.

I don't buy the attendance issue. the committee pays very little reagard to this. besides my bet is minny and western michigan end up in grand rapids. miami in toledo, obviously new hampshire in manchester and qu in providence, so attendance issues will be negated a little bit. if the ncaa really cared about attendance they would go back to having regionals on on campus sites.

I think even if they were to lose this weekend to BSU they still would be a number one seed.

I'm not sure I would write this game off just yet, but you are correct in the work that lies ahead for next year. if you have two of the best women players on the planet on your team and just manage to "sneak" into the playoffs that can't be a good sign for what lies ahead for this program.

I'm probably in the minority in this in that I do not want them to be in grand rapids with minnesota. I will take our chances elsewhere. If we do happen to make that run and win a 4th broadmoor we end up in manchester as the fourth number one seed in all liklihood, anything else and it is either toledo or grand rapids as a two seed.

this is a what if scenario. what if the boys didn't put as much stock into winning a cup or for that matter really worried where they finish. not saying they didn't want to, but instead took this last weekend to try a few different things knowing they were going to make the NCAA. they tried a few different line combos from what had worked the last month, came a way with a split without a whole lot of offense and now they go back to what had worked and flip the switch for an epic playoff run.

we beat tech in three, beat duluth on thurs at final five, lose friday to a well rested minny team. go to toledo as the number two seed, beat niagara, then beat miami in a classic to advance to frozen four, beat minny in thursday semi final and then beat SCSU for number 8.
