The freshman goaltender is a nice angle for your squad to hang its hat on. If your goalie is indeed a frosh. Disagree on Wisco and on Michigan, if Michigan was in a decent conference, they would struggle early. Minnesota will have to mesh young studs to a team that learned to play with grit and defense. CC is my favorite if Bachman stays, will they learn to win in March? UND will be an interesting team, plenty of talent. Will the early season struggles be the usual slow start or the beginning of a long season? BC will be tough and I think Maine will suprise next year.

Alex was a 2nd rd. pick by Pittsburgh. I believe in the low 60"'s, 61 or 62 if I remember correctly.

Normally, I would dismiss the Big Ten hockey league becoming a reality. In the past the words have come from people hoping to to see a Big Ten Conference in Hockey. Common sense and money were always the issues. However, with the advent of th BTN and the fact that Illinois and Penn State are successfully growing teams in the ACHA with support from the Universities. You cant just laugh it off anymore. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Illinois would not be Universities dismissed if they came together to form a league. Auto bids would not be an issue, I wouldn't want to see it. I never thought I would see a school build a womens soccer stadium, softball stadium, Women's hockey arena and a Rowing house because they have a football program either. Dumber things have been done.

Being upset by a number 4 seed in the first round, if you look at the year before the HC game (Bemidji) and after( UNH- #4 Notre Dame in Finals) is not so unbelievable. Embarrassing, yes. Getting handed your shorts and not even showing up IN THE FROZEN FOUR is just as, if not more embarrassing. Not try trolling here..But, with all the "Pride" in Sioux hockey that all these players are supposed to have...explain last night. Was that pride in the name on the front? Bottom line is all teams at all levels, lay eggs once in a while. Be glad you didn't set our allegiance with Wayne State or Huntsville. For all the HC jerseys and all the sophomoric comments, you will hear the 6>1 and BC jerseys and chants etc...its all juvenile. Cheer for YOUR team and enjoy rival losses sure. To buy a HC jersey or BC jersey, to bring up a game from 3,4..11 years ago is dumb. The team that was on the ice last night should be embarrassed and I am sure they are. Fans will hold this over your head until next years Final Four than its over.
