Why am I different than any other Sioux loving fan? I suppport my team through thick and thin. Half of your site blasts fans that don't, you then, critisize those that do. Just because the word Gopher is in my name you stereotype. I have posted under another name the same basic post as a Sioux screen name and hours later as a gopher fan. Amazing the difference from some of you. Piss and moan all you want, the very idea you share about your team you condem in another. I was talking about local people as you were when saying they would complain about leaving work early. So it is relevant. It's the same result if one of us or both are correct? Regardless of symantics, nobody can say we champion the rule. The benifit to the team can be argued. I dont have the attendance figures in front of me and am not obsessing over the attendance of a Cornell/OSU game, I stayed. Bottom line is Minnesota travels as well as, if not better than, most schools. All schools have fair weather fans and die hards. Its a tired discussion that is very simple to understand. Unless, your looking for something to make yourself feel better. All schools have all type fans. Be more creative, its interesting.

What would most of you have to complain about then? Nobody says that UND can buy X amount of tickets and the rest go to UM. I will agree with the idea that more UND fans would be at a Ralph Final Five than gopher fans. I wouldnt have a problem with going up there once in a while. I am not sure what you can do up there for three days besides drink, I am sure you could list a few things. Again, all WCHA schools have a say where the Final Five is played. I think this contract extends through the 2012 season.

I know plenty of us who are at all Final Five games. I know plenty of Sioux fans who wont be there if the Sioux don't play.....Who the F cares. I will be there and that's all I worry about. The regional you wrote about was at Mariucci, unless you want problems with the fire marshall your statement has nothing to do with the gopher fans attendance, I was there and it was a full house. Just for your information when the coaches have voted on the "gopher rule", Every year the Five has been at the X, Minnesota has ALWAYS voted against it, always. Most years, if not all, UM was the only school to say no. You can ask Hak.

The only column that matters is the W's. Your ties are just games you would have more time to get the goal that wins it in the playoffs. As long as JPL is playing like he is, my $ is on UND.

If you assume a win for UND, you are overlooking MTU. I am not saying anyone will win/lose. I am just pointing out if UND loses this weekend, they won't be playing the following weekend in the Final Five and you will have overlooked MTU.

This may be crazy.....but, maybe 2 fans of the same team that has started to play well, may be excited about the prospects of said team. Crazzzzzzy, I know.

You know it doesn't work that way. We beat Michigan the second game of the year......no foreshadowing there. We did sweep 2 from mankato this year.

SOME of you Sioux fans sound an awful lot like the Goofer fans you say you despise.....I still can't figure out why so many posts on here revolve around UM. Every win from here on out is a win I didn't think the gophers would get 4 weeks ago. I will take what the team accomplishes this year, in the down year, and enjoy it. Just as much as you all will be rooting against UM , I will be rooting for an unexpected run that may happen, may not. Go back and read the beginning of the year threads you had.
