You’re leaving out a lot of the story. Yes he peed in an elevator but the elevator was stuck for quite some time. Not saying it was right but I’m pretty sure we all would’ve done the same thing had we been stuck in an elevator.

We basically need to win the rest of our games to put us in the NCAA tournament. We could afford to split with Denver and Western but that's it. The loss and tie to Bemidji is once again coming back to haunt us.

No need to do that any longer. We need to win out to make it, it’s as simple as that.

Seems to me majority of the people on this board have been concerned with the pairwise since the beginning of the season. This season is another example of how important it is to come out strong and winning non-conference games that are at the beginning of the season.

I've said this before but what happened to UND's ability to get some good goaltending? We never had a goaltending coach before, and we always seemed to have some of the best goalies out there. It just baffles me that we have relied so much on the portal for our goalies the last few years.

They stopped being kids when they turned 18. Yes, being a college athlete is hard but you said it best, "With pay, and a free education comes expectations". Do you think the Blackhawks and their fans give Connor Bedard because he's "just a kid"?

There are a lot of season ticket holders on there that hate when us "normies" criticize the program. Those people represent the money that is being brought into the university, with their season ticket purchase and their donation to the athletic department. I don't consider them as fans who are looking out for the best interests in the University/Program. Those are the fans that go to the REA and destination games because it's the "in thing" to do and the same ones that worship the ground that "mama gaber" walks on.

I think they will be fine. If you look at that stupid cesspool of a group on Facebook (All things Fighting Sioux), you will see that pretty much all of the people on there say the same thing and that they are okay with what's going on because us "negative" fans need to remember that they are just kids, and we can't always have a winning season.

With the portal as an option to players now, the coach basically has to re-recruit the players he has every year anyway. What is stopping Hobie or Sasha from saying to themselves "this is a sinking ship with Berry and I need to go elsewhere"? I know UND hockey isn't for every player but maybe it's been looked at the wrong way, maybe it's not for every coach either.

I doubt anything happens this year. I believe Berry has one year left on his current deal and I don't see a buyout happening.

Schmidt isn't relying on "tradition and culture" like Berry lives by. Berry lives by "tradition and culture" because that's the only thing he knows, he is stuck (like a lot of fans are) in the past. His refusal to get on board with the "new nickname" is also a big tell about living in the past.

True but I am saying that all those players can leave/decommit right now even with Berry here. UND cannot afford to be concerned with the "what ifs" because at the moment the "what if's" is bringing this team down. Um I am not sure what you are watching but a new coaching staff could easily elevate the program in no time. All it would take is 2 NCAA tournament wins and they would be better off then UND has been in the past 9 years.

What you are basically stating is you want UND to keep everything the same (minus Berry). We might as well be in the movie "groundhog day". We can't live in fear of losing players when there is an obvious need for a coaching change. Players can leave anytime they want in today's game anyway. Heck, we might lose players this year, even if Berry is still the coach.

Starting with Chaves. UND isn't a small D2 school anymore. Shiny buildings and history/culture isn't going to cut it going forward. If the national stage wants to take UND seriously, then UND needs to take itself seriously and make moves that are uncomfortable to people.

Honestly, I don't think Herter would be able to solve the problem that Berry has created.

Matt Shaw was shown the door very quickly after a downturn. Not sure why we can't hold Berry, Dane, Karl and Dillion accountable.

Half of Michigan States team is Fr and SO. Six of their upperclassmen played elsewhere. So essentially this team is made up of young players mixed in with a bunch of transfers. I see this team a little bit like UNDs but Michigan State seems to have it figured out.

You said he wins everywhere he goes. That statement isn’t true.

He didn’t win anything at the USHL level and he was at Duluth for their run but also for down years. Time for you to leave Judy’s because you don’t make sense.
