I converted the loss to Miami to a W and it only brought us up to 17th. The NCHC is so deep and usually has everyone ranked pretty high that losing a conference game doesn't hurt our PWR rankings. Non-conference games are killers compared to conference games; we just can't lose them.

I don't really care who "found" this information and who "gave" it to Port. The fact of the matter is, it's out there for the public to see and it needs to be addressed. Also, what is this theory you have of people out to get "him"? Berry could have 4 Natty's to his name and I would still believe most people would want answers. It sounds like you hate him more as a person than as a reporter doing his job. Is his story incomplete, yes but that's due to Berry, his daughter and the school not wanting to answer simple questions. The local media has long protected the hockey program (how dare you question them) and the University has a lot of damage control from the past few years to smooth over yet. They don't want to add anything else to their plate.

That article was flipping terrible. All it was was Brad trying to justify this teams crappiness with numbers and that’s what losing teams do. Brad needs to call it like it is and put the pressure (in the media) on Berry and crew. If the hockey team wants to be the “premier” sport in the area, it’s time to hold everyone to an even higher standard.

Honestly after watching it a couple times, I like it even more. It puts the pressure on Deion. If he doesn’t change things with “his” guys, then it’s all on him and it’s out there for the world to see it. Anyone who’s watched a Buffs game already knows the players aren’t that great.

You fire him midseason, what does that do? The team will still be struggling anyway and maybe some of those recruits that were on the way decommit and then what do we do.

In Berry's short tenure here, he has either lead his team out the gate or they just struggled the whole season, there was never an in between in my eyes. You are correct that the talent is there, but I just don't think this team is a team like ones from the past. When I hear stories that they don't hang out outside of hockey that seems odd to me (if it is true) and it translates out onto the ice.

I don't like the "fire berry" chants just like I never liked the "fire hak" chants.

Dave Hakstol has saved many seasons with second half surges; we have not seen them with Berry in his time here.

Why would we be talking about other schools fanbases in a 22-23 university of north dakota hockey season forum?

It's not unreasonable to ask for better play from the players and better coaching. How are we entitled as a fanbase? Because we expect the team and coaches to perform at the highest level, like they are supposed to? How are we impatient? We are talking about 5th year players that are regressing. No one is commenting on players like Blake or Gaber because they are preforming the way they should be.
