  1. NHL draft picks for recruits...a bunch of guys who want to be here for 2-3 years tops before heading to the NHL. Meanwhile, schools like Yale , Quinnipiac, and UMass-Lowell are apparently signing a bunch of guys who will play for four years and commit to the program. UND and Minnesota players are constantly auditioning themselves for pro scouts. UND's focus has changed from 'come here and win a title' to 'come here and we'll help you get to the NHL.' Therein lies the problem. NHL recruits...nice arena...loyal fan base...tradition...c'mon, that describes about a half-dozen college hockey programs right now...
  2. This would be a pretty big joke then since The Denver Post, USCHO, and other blogs are absolutely blowing up with this news right now.
  3. Pretty speculative considering the announcement was brief. You're assuming this was performance-related?
  4. Good grief, faulty internet connection when I was in Dickinson for a week...my bad!
  5. I was going to post a new thread regarding coaching vacancies...but, nevermind, this will do nicely. Alaska-Anchorage and now Denver both have coaching openings. One a primo college hockey job, the other not-so-much. Anyone have any speculation on who might get an interview or job? Post EDITED after SiouxScore corrected me below.

    Jerseys

I'm pretty sure they're too small for you anyways...I'm sure I can keep them safe.

    Jerseys

I'm assuming they would be covered under your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy - but I would definitely SPECIFICALLY list them as well as have pictures of them handy just in case.
  8. Isn't the next sign plagues of locusts? Or was it rivers turning to blood?

I do. Do you have a question regarding that particular style?
  10. I say we swap Hakstol for Enrico Blasi for two seasons and re-evaluate the trade after the 2015 season.
  11. Seriously, Wilbur, I don't know why I bother posting anymore because it seems like whatever thought goes thru my head has already been posted by you.
  12. Pretty much the response I expected out of you...
  13. Hockey East regular season champion...Hockey East playoff champion...I have seen them play 4-5 times this season and each time I have come away more impressed than the last time I saw them.
  14. You posters who think Lowell is a push-over know JACK SQUAT about college hockey. And passit_offthegoalie, that Buddhist monk burned himself alive to protest the South Vietnamese government's treatment of Buddhists by the pro-Catholic president of the Republic of Vietnam. For you to use that image in a weak attempt at humor is nothing short of disgraceful.
  15. My broomball team would agree 100%. I'm not exactly known for my defensive effort.
  16. I'd prefer sprig or Cratter on our line but if we have to go with Oxbow6, well, I guess that's Hakstol's call. You guys just go get me the puck...I'll take care of the rest!
  17. Fighting Sioux to the end...thanks for the memories, seniors.
  18. Really? you obviously haven't paid any attention at all to college hockey this season and have no idea how talented the UMass-Lowell or Miami teams really are. And Union, Quinnipiac, and St Cloud proved yesterday that they are no slouches either...
  19. The two most-common thoughts on this board when the 2013 bracket was announced: #1) How unfair it is that North Dakota and Minnesota are in the same bracket and have to face each other for the right to go to the Frozen Four, and #2) May as well punch a ticket for Boston College to another championship with their easy-as-pie bracket. Hmnnn...funny how things work out. I congratulate Yale on their accomplishment this past weekend and UMass-Lowell for making their first-ever Frozen Four. While disappointed that North Dakota is staying home, it's at least nice to see some new blood in the hunt for a national title.
  20. Really? Because Barry Trotz has been around forever in Nashville and Lindy Ruff was in Buffalo forever or so it seems before recently getting fired... EDIT: Someone else already beat me to this punch.
  21. Great job Huskies. Now go finish the job tomorrow.
  22. I'm simply too stunned to comment on siouxsports right now. I simply have to hand it to Yale...congratulations.
