    So now it's a requirement that a coach at UND has to have on his resume a national championship of some sorts? What's next? UND only recruiting kids who played on teams that have won national titles as Pee Wees?

    Tennessee fired Fulmer after a couple of down years at UT - he had won a national title there but folks were antsy after Florida won a couple and - POOF! - Bye bye coach. Dooley was a disaster and year one of another new coach doesn't look much better.

    Agreed. I'd like a nice 10 game winning streak before Christmas and not the usual mad scramble to make the NCAA's in January and February.

    And got smoked by Minnesota in 2003. UNH's big player (forget his name) was injured in the semi-final win. The Gophers took UNH out behind the woodshed in the title game.

    Spot-on. It's a shame that some good coaches are run out of town (especially in college football) because they can't win an NCAA title. It's not that easy. One hockey coach I'd like to see win an NCAA title before he retires: Dick Umile of UNH.

    Yes, the Cleveland Cavaliers is a cool nickname...shortening that to Cleveland "Cavs" is just plain dumb. You can't be the Norsemen because that would create ambiguity with women's athletics. Norsemen and Norsewomen just will NOT happen, sorry.

    In all seriousness, the '98 Wolverines beating the Sioux at Yost wasn't nearly as big of an upset as people think...that Michigan team was loaded. Had that game been in Grand Forks and UND pounced on that 2-0 lead like they did, I think Michigan would have folded like a pup tent and lost 7-0.
