Being a bubble selection wasn't the issue raised by yzerman19...the claim was that Canada's top talent was almost blackballed by its hockey elite because he was a college recruit. I wanted some evidence to back that up.

Pretty funny...but Chris Mussman would probably give his right arm to be playing in that stadium this weekend. And so would plenty of Sioux fans.

Yea, just look at this board! UND posters are incensed that NDSU won't play UND...and NDSU's response seems to be 'meh...we'll keep busy with the playoffs and attempt to win our 3rd national championship...you guys just keep whining about why we won't play you and how we're scared to do so.' Kinda like the Gophers and UND hockey...which program is more 'on the map' this year after the WCHA conference shake-up? If I didn't know any better, thanks to the lack of NCHC coverage in the TC media (as expected), I would think UND dropped hockey altogether as opposed to changed conferences. My thought is the same with NDSU not caring about having UND on the football schedule...out of sight, out of mind.

Do you have back-up for that first statement? You're telling me that the scoring leader for Canada West at the 2005 U-17 Hockey Challenge was going to be blacklisted from the 2006 and 2007 World Junior teams because he was attending North Dakota? Canada West obviously didn't have a problem with Toews playing at Shattuck in 2003-04 and 2004-05.

If 800-900 fans watching the then-ranked #2 vs #4 teams in the country (that would be Wisco vs UND) play women's hockey is considered a 'strong push' to be the number 2 sport at UND, then football surely is in trouble.
