I wasn't trying to suggest conference parity as much as I was team parity. 5 of the 12 WCHA teams (and you could honestly say 10 WCHA teams since most of the past 14 seasons was played without Bemidji and UNO as conference members) have NCAA titles since 2000. That's an impressive statistic.
Dave pays someone to plow his. I have to shovel mine. I have to hustle over there between games though and get rid of all the yellow snow in his backyard.
Jersey update:
Finand's blues are pretty sweet. Outside of USA 3rd white, quite possibly my favorite of this Olympics.
Sweden yellow - classic, but Nike-ified version without stripes on the sleeves and rain slicker effect make them a FAIL.
It's a blast...I picked it up while at UND and loved it immediately. Got into competitive men's and co-rec and have played indoor and outdoor brooms. Big difference between the two, obviously.
Post over in the IceHoggs thread if you want some more info - I know there are leagues in Fargo and obviously the TC area.
No one's more disappointed than me, Wilbur. I carried last year's semi-final disappointment into the off-season and could not wait to avenge that defeat at the hands of Scooby Snacks in this year's semi-final game. I don't know what to tell you...we left it all out there on the ice but it wasn't enough.
Maybe I should reconsider the team re-branding and simply go with "Pigs with spatulas" as our name?
I haven't seen a play that bad since...oh...I guess a few hours ago on Canada's second goal when 5 US women looked like mice all running towards a cheese puck.
So 5 different WCHA teams winning national titles in a 14 year span isn't "parity" in a conference to you? Seems like that's a pretty good run for one conference. Imagine if only ONE WCHA team was head and shoulders above the rest during that same time-span...dare I say they'd out-number BC in terms of titles?
I'm not sure what I need to explain since my post quite clearly detailed the ten titles in the past fourteen years won by schools NOT named Boston College...what's not clear?
