Oh please. From 88-96 there was nothing but gloom and doom in Grand Forks.

No one's more disappointed than me, Wilbur. I carried last year's semi-final disappointment into the off-season and could not wait to avenge that defeat at the hands of Scooby Snacks in this year's semi-final game. I don't know what to tell you...we left it all out there on the ice but it wasn't enough. Maybe I should reconsider the team re-branding and simply go with "Pigs with spatulas" as our name?

So 5 different WCHA teams winning national titles in a 14 year span isn't "parity" in a conference to you? Seems like that's a pretty good run for one conference. Imagine if only ONE WCHA team was head and shoulders above the rest during that same time-span...dare I say they'd out-number BC in terms of titles?

I'm not sure what I need to explain since my post quite clearly detailed the ten titles in the past fourteen years won by schools NOT named Boston College...what's not clear?

I figured I'd move this out of the Olympics thread...maybe the problem with lack of recent league championships is the corny team name - Liberty Bail Bonds obviously for their cash contribution and IceHoggs as a sort of spin-off of the Hoggsbreath. I'm thinking of doing a total re-brand like the New Orleans Hornets to New Orleans Pelicans...only way more sinister...I just need to come up with a logo that will work...and some cash for some new uniforms... How about RED ARMY?

I don't expect Mandan to get it done. 2 out of 4 would be nice though.

Weren't you watching Starman and Holden last week? According to Holden, the Penrose Cup that he so gleefully showed off with his white gloves last Friday night, is the NCHC tournament trophy.
