Wow! Slovak defenseman saves the game for team USA!

I know there was some lobbying to have him replaced by Ben Bishop...I'm a Jimmy Howard fan but Bishop's size would have been a nice change-of-scenery in net had he been called into action.

Russia blowing a chance at the fourth seed and a bye into the quarterfinals...

Still trying to figure out why USA women's goalie helmet with "We the people..." on the back of it is rejected but Slovakia is allowed to have their national anthem on its jerseys. USA asks to put the Star-Spangled Banner on its jerseys...guaranteed denied.

I figured it out...Slovakia is borrowing the USA white's for their game vs Russia. Nike template-tastic junk. Two scoring chances in a row...one for each team. Russia picking it up a bit.

Nice interview with Captain America between periods...great close-up of the jersey. Good heavens, it's almost perfect. Time to break the bank and find one.

It's nice to see Ryan Miller in net for this game. His performance four years ago was incredible and he deserved some ice time in 2014.

The white jersey was supposed to be the reverse of the blue they wore yesterday. I didn't realize that USA had a third jersey.

LOL! I've been so busy watching Olympic hockey that I got behind on doing their dishes and laundry! I had to pull an all-nighter to catch up and slept thru my 6:30 am alarm.

I'd prefer a comparison to the jersey-poppin' look at me look at me celebration by USA's very own Blake Wheeler a few years back in a certain WCHA Final Five title game. Contrast that with an immediate wave to Jonathan Quick and a celebration amongst teammates. Very nice.

I'm not directly quoting anybody...but the naysayers are awfully quiet tonight. #12 in the current PWR? Keep winning and UND is right where it wants to be...in the hunt.
