Here's another good one, gfhockey...
in the last 10 years, BC has won 3 NCAA titles...in the 7 years that BC did not win the title, 6 different teams have won titles.
Throw out BC...and I give you...that nasty word again...parity.
EDIT: 6 different teams, not 7.
Here's a couple of facts for you, gfhockey...
BC has won 4 of the last 14 titles, but EIGHT different schools have won the remaining TEN titles
FIVE DIFFERENT schools from ONE CONFERENCE have at least one title during that 14 year span
If that's not parity, I don't know what is.
Hilarious how you make that 2000 Sioux title sound like it happened in the era of black and white TV and wool hockey jerseys...but constantly rant about the Gopher back-to-backs of 2002 and 2003 like they happened in the last two seasons.
All good arguments...I'd like to add one:
4. gfhockey being named extra-special associate head coach. Let's face it...his keen insight of the game and clear knowledge of how to win championships, along with his ability to relate to the young players by teaching them the basics of jager bombs and keg stands, is what we need to put this team over the top.
...because we all know that being a high round or first round draft choice is a sure-fire sign of your college and NHL future. For example, Brian Lawton...oh, wait...well, Patrick Stefan...dang, ok, wait, I have one, Radek Bonk, groan...nevermind...
Like you always do when the team you're cheering for is down a goal or tied...and your expert opinion says that they should be winning by a baker's dozen.
They gave a better salute to the Canadian fans four years ago..c'mon, Russia...that was terrible. Your fans were there to support you and the biggest memory of the tournament you gave them is a 4-0 shut-out over NORWAY?
Valeri Kharlamov and Sergei Makarov are rolling over in their graves...
