I know it won't happen and I prefer the USA white alternate anyways, but USA navy blue vs Canada red would be a great jersey match-up.

I wasn't trying to suggest conference parity as much as I was team parity. 5 of the 12 WCHA teams (and you could honestly say 10 WCHA teams since most of the past 14 seasons was played without Bemidji and UNO as conference members) have NCAA titles since 2000. That's an impressive statistic.

Jersey update: Finand's blues are pretty sweet. Outside of USA 3rd white, quite possibly my favorite of this Olympics. Sweden yellow - classic, but Nike-ified version without stripes on the sleeves and rain slicker effect make them a FAIL.

I'd concur that BC has been the gold standard of college hockey since 2000 and don't disagree with anything you stated above.

It's a blast...I picked it up while at UND and loved it immediately. Got into competitive men's and co-rec and have played indoor and outdoor brooms. Big difference between the two, obviously. Post over in the IceHoggs thread if you want some more info - I know there are leagues in Fargo and obviously the TC area.

No one's more disappointed than me, Wilbur. I carried last year's semi-final disappointment into the off-season and could not wait to avenge that defeat at the hands of Scooby Snacks in this year's semi-final game. I don't know what to tell you...we left it all out there on the ice but it wasn't enough. Maybe I should reconsider the team re-branding and simply go with "Pigs with spatulas" as our name?
