  1. Their burgers are pretty good...and those 2-5pm drink specials? The iced tea? Yummy!

Funny, but I didn't even hear ESPN on prime-time TV mention that when the Bison were busy beating Oklahoma in hoops and giving Oregon State all it could handle in baseball... Just sayin'...

The NDSU baseball and basketball teams made appearances in the NCAA tournament this past season too.
  4. Slow day on SiouxSports...but for some strange reason, I'm craving a Sonic double cheeseburger...
  5. And UND's English 101 class would tell you that the correct expression is COULDN'T or COULD NOT care less. Saying that you "could care less" suggests that you do in fact care, even if just a little.
  6. I know you hate NDSU with a passion, darell, but I think the ag school's English 101 class could definitely spot the obvious grammar boo boos in your above question.
  7. My own edit: The 2006 Oklahoma squad won the Big XII championship game over Nebraska 21-7. Their regular season losses were to Oregon and Texas. Alabama was indeed the #1 team in the country before losing to one-loss Florida in the SEC championship game in 2008 in a big upset 31-20.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't that '06 Boise State team catch an Oklahoma squad coming off an upset loss in the Big XII championship game while the '08 Utah team was playing an Alabama group that had been undefeated going into the SEC championship game?
  9. So...Eastern Michigan goes undefeated and wins the MAC...but draws only 12,000 per home victory. Now what?
  10. So here's an idea...Central Michigan schedules a couple of patsies outside of their MAC schedule and runs the table undefeated. Central Florida does the same thing in the American. Ditto for Boise State in the Mountain West. You seriously think they would deserve a "final four" spot over a 10-2 Alabama or 11-1 Ohio State? No way.
  11. Wait a second...on one hand, you're practically begging the NCAA to do something about the EMU's of D1 football, now you're the champion of the little school?
  12. I didn't say no one would watch...let's try this again. What kind of ratings does an ALCS of Red Sox vs Yankees get vs say, Royals vs A's?
  13. They're saying the same thing over on GPL. This Sioux team has potential - but they will need to work hard to achieve that goal.
  14. Florida Gulf Coast meeting Duke in a #16-#1 opening round basketball game will get PLENTY of TV viewers...and more as the game goes on if the score is close. What set of football playoff games would you prefer to see? Michigan vs Alabama and Texas vs Ohio State or Florida State vs an undefeated Southern Methodist University and Georgia vs MAC champ Northern Illinois?
  15. One argument. The 2013 Orange Bowl between Florida State and Northem Illinois would be my rebuttal.
  16. Right on! The day that the dreams of Butler, Florida Gulf Coast, VCU, George Mason, Wichita State and every other cinderella are replaced by the 8th, 9th, and 10th place finishers of the Big 10, Pac 12, and ACC is the day the NCAA tournament becomes 99% less exciting to watch.
  17. Now you're making my arguments for me...
  18. So in a metro area of 3.4 million people, I guess a better question would be why isn't TCF about twice as big?
  19. 2nd outdoor home Gopher game in over 20 years on a spectacular day. Stunning that it was a sell-out. Did you quick google the St Thomas and Bethel attendance for that Saturday in 2010?
  20. I actually put NDSU in there and then deleted it...because we were talking TCF.
  21. LOL! The only reason TCF is "packed" is because of the Wisconsin, Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa fans that own 1/2 of the stadium when their team comes to Minneapolis. Again, you're seriously over-estimating Gopher football fanaticism. Ann Arbor (and Ypsilanti, for that matter) is absolutely blanketed in maize and blue on game-day. Drive to Lake Calhoun on Gopher game-day and ask the first 100 people you see who Minnesota is playing and I bet 75 reply "no idea."
  22. Yes, I am indeed claiming that the close proximity to the University of Michigan is a detriment to EMU football.
  23. I have been in Ann Arbor many times for Michigan football games as a college friend of mine lived in Ypsilanti (up until about 2004). You have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to the football challenges that EMU has given its location.
  24. Which way do you want it, darell? On one hand, you scold 4.3 metro area "fans" for not putting 30,000 fans in Rynearson Stadium for an EMU/Toledo game but suddenly driving 90 miles to see the Rose Bowl champion Spartans play their home football opener isn't realistic?
