Dude, this is TOO easy. Nevermind the nickname issue...maybe you can mention to your friend that UND was never known as "Northeastern North Dakota University" before suddenly deciding to ditch the NE part.
Think of the positive side, DI, once these shirts are pulled from the shelves and boxed up as a tax write-off, an entire village of people in the mountains of Chile will be exposed to your team.

To summarize, I'm not a fan if they lose and I couldn't care less what happens. However, if they win, I'll promptly log onto our non-rival's main fan site and spout off about the greatness of my school.
10-4.
Seriously, I'm mainly a hockey guy but don't log in day after day after day over at Gopher Puck Live. Some of you NDSU folks spend a considerable amount of time concerning yourselves with a football program that you're supposedly NOT THE LEAST BIT concerned about. Makes about as much sense as you stirring up things on Dickinson State's fan site. I just don't get it.
7:37 am on a weekday is a little early to be stirring up the pot on your irrelevant non-rival's message board, isn't it? Or maybe you're simply bored while waiting in line this morning at Walmart for your chance to snag one of those snazzy Bisons shirts and decided to hop onto your new favorite web site?
Sad news indeed, farce. I was 9 years old when the "Miracle on Ice" took place. Didn't know anything about hockey at that point in my life but understood the importance of the moment anyways. Bob Suter and the rest of that team instilled a sense of pride back into America by finishing off the ultimate cinderella story and winning a gold medal. Rest in peace, Bob Suter. Very sad day in the hockey world.
You would think someone unloading the truck or hanging the shirts on the rack would have thought something didn't look right...
Then again, I sent a text photo to two friends of mine...and neither one understood what was so funny until I pointed it out to them - and one of those two went to NDSU!
I was trying to agree with you...but when I pointed out in other threads that NDSU had the more successful seasons in b-ball and baseball because of the NCAA Tournament TV exposure, I was branded a Bison-lover by UND fans because "we beat them!"
And yet if this was 2014 NCAA men's basketball or baseball, the company line is "best team in the state" despite NDSU making national TV appearances in the NCAA tournament in both sports?
