  1. Pretty much expected - not his fault that the Twins held onto players too long and got little, if anything, in return on a trade (Morneau, Willingham) and sign guys to crippling contracts (Mauer)...
  2. My Bohl-to-Michigan line was meant in jest - I think Jim or John Harbaugh are obvious candidates for the job. Not sure if Michigan can afford either one of them though.
  3. Give it another five minutes and I'll be labled a Bisons troll...
  4. How bad is Atlanta's defense? Christian Ponder wouldn't DARE attempt a pass and yet the Falcons STILL couldn't stop the running game.
  5. Just so I have this straight, a UND football fan heads over to Bisonville on a weekend when NDSU isn't even playing, views a thread started by another UND football fan and then calls out Bisons fans as not being "over" UND?
  6. In your defense, FSU was known as Free Sneakers University back in the 90's...
  7. Charlie Weis was a reach by Kansas in the first place. His "offensive genius" was proved fraudulent by Patriots' spygate incident. The guy flat-out cannot coach.
  8. I predict some college hockey CONTRACTION before other schools look to add hockey.
  9. Kansas has fired former Notre Dame coaching legend Charlie Weis.
  10. Big win for the Tribe* tonight. *the use of the word "Tribe" is not Indian-related in any way, shape, or form, per NCAA mandate.
  11. 43 runs scored in the last 6 games the Twins have played the Tigers. Unbelievable.
  12. So far tonite, it's 8 more for the Twins and 2 for the Tigers.
  13. Good point. I probably should have said Wayzata and not EP.
  14. What were the weather conditions last weekend? Eden Prairie could put up 50 on EWU's pathetic defense. Good effort by the team today. Eliminate several mistakes and this is an even closer game. Michigan, on the other hand...good grief. That offense is supposed to be Big 10?
  15. I'm simply stunned at your comments today, darell. You're usually one of the more positive posters on the site.
  16. I've been a big Hoke supporter since his hiring but it looks like his ship has sailed. He doesn't have a clue. Although, for the folks screaming for a change at QB, well...there's your answer...NOT.
  17. Michigan's offense embarrassing itself today...
  18. Nothing less than a terrible tragedy. No parent should have to endure that kind of pain and heartbreak - send your kid to college 3-4 weeks ago and he comes back home like this? Awful. My prayers are with the family.
  19. In January or February of 1988, with the temp at about -25, my friends and I were playing volleyball inside Hyslop. One of our group went up for a monster spike and came down hard on his ankle, practically snapping it in two. He sat on the floor in excruciating pain insisting that we were NOT to call an ambulance. It was about 5 minutes before closing time, I believe 10:00 pm. At around 11:00 pm, he's still writhing around on the floor in pain. The gym attendant said we had to get out ASAP. I walked across campus to the West/McVey lot and drove my car back to Hyslop, parking it right in front of the place by the "NO PARKING ANYTIME - DELIVERIES ONLY" sign. Between the time it took me to walk back into the gym and help my friends get Bobby outside into my car (maybe 5 minutes), Parking Enforcement had given me a ticket. I went to the appeals department and spoke with the head of the Gestapo PE staff and explained the situation. It was easily 11:45 - midnight and there were zero deliveries going on at that time of night The place was locked the second our group stepped outside. I even showed her paperwork from the ER indicating what time we checked in at the hospital. The hearing officer told me I should have either a) parked about 1/4 mile away in the nearest student lot and gotten the car when Bob was outside Hyslop and ready to go (nevermind his state of shock, bones sticking out of his ankle, and -25 degree weather) or b) called an ambulance. She offered me zero relief on the ticket - yes, it was only $10 back then, but that wasn't the point. Absolutely zero common sense...
  20. And Minnesota absolutely pounds Detroit pitching yet AGAIN! If Detroit blows the division title, it has only itself to blame. 11, 2, 8, 4, 6 - the runs scored by the Twins in each of the last 5 games against the Tigers. 31 runs. Ouch. Detroit's totals? 4, 4, 4, 3, 8 - 23 runs total. Who's got the better pitching staff and bullpen?
