How about maybe picking up the flag on one of those chintzy illegal block in the back calls that happens on an exciting 98 yard kickoff return too?

That's the part I can't figure out...I was in my car listening to the radio and actually heard the referee announce the penalty. Seconds later, the booth guys are saying the flag has been picked up. If there was any question at all about whether or not it was a penalty, shouldn't that have been discussed BEFORE making the announcement that there was a penalty? The fix is in!

ESPN had a pre-recorded tribute that aired this morning and will likely be shown again today - saw a quote from Scott Van Pelt regarding the taping of the segment. He said they had to go on air almost as soon as they were done recording it and the show hosts were a mess. Said it was a tribute piece that he hoped they would never have to show. Sadly, he was mistaken.

Tough to see some of the ESPN folks this morning...Rich Eisen (now with NFL Network), Scott Van Pelt, and Chris Berman all very emotional. Hannah Storm broke the news live and I'm not sure how she made it thru her short but moving eulogy without completely breaking down. Very sad news. Godspeed, Stuart Scott.

While this may have been a much-needed win by Wisconsin against the #5 team in the country in Michigan Tech, the BTN booth guys describing it as a "monumental win" was a bit-over-the-top.
