I'll be curious to see how many Packer fans start wishing for the golden days of yore when Brett Favre was their QB should GB lose this weekend...
-
Maybe Aaron needs to spend more time working out and less time perfecting his "I'm here to pump [clap] you up" line?
-
Wow, 2017 or 2018 is shaping up to be a big year for UND sports...newest member of FBS football, beating NDSU in women's volleyball by scores of 25-5 in all 3 sets, and now, a trip to the NCAA tournament in men's basketball! I can't wait!
-
So if the entire offense of the Cowboys had walked out onto the field to politely discuss the situation, the referee has the option of calling a penalty only if the discussion gets a bit heated? C'mon...
-
OK, let's not turn this into that thread, LOL. I thought I'd throw it out there and see if we can get a forum for posting things. Figured it'd be better than clogging up "Community."
-
Great point! Without my HD TV and instant replay capability, I wouldn't have even noticed Dez Bryant running onto the field to bark at an official. We certainly can't expect NFL officials to notice little things like that as well!
-
I have pointed this out before as well - Michigan is "The Wolverine State," yet there hasn't been an actual wolverine spotted in Michigan in a long, long time.
-
OK, OK, I don't have a Hrkac jersey for give-away...but I am serious about a buy/sell/trade forum for anything - doesn't necessarily have to be Sioux stuff.
-
A game-worn Tony Hrkac jersey from the 1987 NCAA championship game...
-
Any chance of a forum for buying, selling, or trading items?

There's a difference between "balding" and "completely bald." I'm probably safe on this one. -
Obviously trying to cover their tracks...what's that, TEN missed penalties in a key playoff game? If this crew is so inept, I can only assume they won't be working this weekend's games, right?

You've mentioned this several times now...who exactly is waving the pom-poms? -
Really? Great nickname!

Page Panthers
-
Arnegard Spuds...1961 state boys' C basketball champions...school closed in 1963.
-
Someone around here has to know where we can find a copy of "Almanac of North Dakota Sports." I wish I had a copy.
-
Kramer Bulldogs...Maxbass Mustangs... I believe the Newburg Eagles of 1986 were officially the "Kramer-Maxbass-Newburg Eagles" by then... Max Cossacks - great nickname.
-
Strasburg Clippers...Hurdsfield Stags...Forman Phantoms...Tuttle Trojans...Pettibone Warriors... Woodworth and Robinson have been closed for a long time now. I had friends who graduated in a class of FIVE in 1988 from Robinson High School. They were already known then as the W-P-R (Woodworth-Pettibone-Robinson) Wolfpack. I don't know what nicknames Robinson and Woodworth had prior to then.

Also on my wish list: Toto and Men at Work getting the bands back together and recording new albums!

http://www.northdakotapreps.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4945 This was very helpful...and interesting. Third post from the top - Karlsruhe Tigers. School apparently closed around 1986. The Tigers made the 1985 tournament.
-
Towner, Velva, Drake, Anamoose...other towns in McHenry County ND. Still can't find any information on Karlsruhe...

I don't know who Scott Gulseth is, but if he was as good as Scott Guldseth from Edinburg, he must have been one heckofa player!

http://activities.educ8.org/archived/basketball/2003/state_b_boys/program/pdf/pg6-7.pdf Check this out from 1978! Belfield's Mike Altenburg with 33 points against the New Rockford Rockets, 29 against the New Town Eagles, and 23 in a 72-57 title game loss to Larimore.
-
Bell played for Halliday, correct. Belfield basketba at that time revolved around the Altenburg brothers, Mike, Ron, and Steve, if memory serves me right. Was your Ed Beyer story about the 1978 game or 1979? Belfield got waxed pretty good by the Polar Bears in '78.
