That would be a solid lesson if in fact past history showed it to be accurate. The pattern of Hak’s teams was starting slowly and finishing the season with guns a blazing. Berry’s pattern is the team starting the season slowly and then trying to dig out of a deep hole in order to make the tournament and either a) making it for one game or b) having the wheels come off the bus in every “must win” game in the second half of the season and not making it at all. So you’re relying on Berry to actually turn it around the second half of the season and I’m hoping he can too. If he does though, it would go against the grain of everything we’ve seen in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

It’s not that bad. You can look forward to Jo Zee’s 7 posts every home Friday AND Saturday weekend. Starts with the flag flying outside her house…then moves to pregame huddle…probably a scoreboard shot or two…a creeper photo of a former player in the stands…

The moment the regulation game clock hit 00:00 with the score tied was a bad downer for UND. They managed to not have to eat the whole pile of poop by actually winning in OT, but, yea, you get the idea.

Nothing amuses me more than watching some home fans hugging and crying the joy out like the Sioux just won the Stanley Cup…after a non-conference shootout W.

Winning in 3x3 OT is not the equivalent of winning in 5x5 in regulation.

I think UND would have made the Frozen Four had they not had to play MN in a rematch from the week before. I always hated that about the NCAA hockey tournament. Do you ever see Duke and North Carolina in the same bracket in men’s basketball? Of course not.

25-12-3 with that M*AS*H unit. Unbelievable grit and determination. But hey, that was before parity, right?
