Parity only exists when teams BELOW North Dakota’s talent level and ability play UND tough or pull off a W. It goes right out the window when UND plays a higher-ranked team and gets its a** kicked.
@Oxbow6 @Wilbur
I didn’t pay attention to Saturday’s game but here we go again with the usual sleepwalking thru the end of periods…
WMU scores at the 18:01 mark of the 1st and the 19:44 mark of the 2nd. Unbelievable.
Remind me again about how tough the NCHC is and about parity too to bottom. This conference is in fact, no different than any other. There will be heavyweights, middle of the pack teams, and doormats.
UMD is in the same boat that North Dakota is in by virtue of their play so far this season. In two MUST-WIN games on the road against a higher-ranked in-state rival, they picked up two W’s. In their two must-win games against the Sun Devils, North Dakota managed to squeak out a Saturday night 2 points.
Which team do you think had the more successful weekend?
Cornell loses 4-2 to someplace called Sacred Heart. I was told that the Big Red was a Frozen Four candidate based on their sweep of UND earlier this season.
Really? You think the good ol’ boy network at UND has the guts to push Berry aside if the team doesn’t make the NCAA’s? Hell, they barely felt it was time to cut Bubba lose from the football program!
I don’t think he is though. We treat Penrose Cups like they’re the ultimate crowning achievement lately. At some point, 1 NCAA tournament win since 2016 is going to become too hard to overlook. My guess is even hardcore Berry supporters will finally lose their patience when the 2025-2026 season ends without a UND post-season win.
