  1. The first period was dominated by UND and yet, the score was 2-1 when it was over. There were stretches of the 2nd where QU was more than holding their own against the Ha, er, Sioux. Sam Anas hit at least two pipes and there was another nice move by I belive St. Denis that almost led to a goal. The game is often a matter of breaks, and a break the Bobcats' way was the difference between 4-1 and 2-2.
  2. Iowa wants a D1hockey program? Groan... now I suppose Minnesota will want one too.
  3. I'm not interested in re-hashing the Native-ness of the feathers or anything about this particular design. If you want a one-of-a-kind hockey jersey, then post your interest in purchasing one. Otherwise, feel free to carry on this discussion in the nickname thread.
  4. Technically, he was right. It was men's and women's S&D, but the %gobc sent out an emergency text to the Prez two minutes before his e-mail was sent out and BAM! Baseball and golf instead!
  5. That must make Thanksgiving dinners at mom's house a bit awkward...
  6. Let's be honest - no list of the three best teams in the country at the end of the season should include a team that lost in the first round of the NCAA's. If St Cloud is still top three, then Northeastern is number four. No way.
  7. Does Jeff Dubay's probation officer know he's using the internet again?
  8. Whoa whoa whoa. So you're saying that you have been to EVERY Frozen Four since 2001 EXCEPT this one and UND wins it NOW? I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but ladies and gentlemen, I think we've cracked this case WIDE OPEN!
  9. I'd rather we be historically accurate as opposed to having future generations "assume" that a certain logo was the representation of North Dakota seven times. It's simply not true. I bet the NCAA would like ND banners so future generations "assume" that the team was always called Fighting Hawks, too. Let's not let that happen.
  10. Well, thankfully we had the new father-figure positive-minded coach to right the ship and keep all of those negative nillys from jumping off of it. There's a big difference between a heat-of-the-moment "here we go again" post and a "this team sucks we're gonna choke again" one.
  11. Shameless bump. NOW is the time for era-specific banners in REA!
  12. Didn't somebody start a thread on that very topic a year or two ago?
  13. I was wondering when your avatar image was going to take on a more "positive" tone. Now I know!
  14. Yea, 'cuz I'm the guy who has been shoving Fighting Hawks down the throats of fans. I know plenty of folks who would know otherwise.
  15. Very cool of one of our long-time Gopher fan friends to say this. Kinda felt the same way about Minny in 2002 as those kids carried with them the frustration of 1980-2001. Classy post, sagard.
  16. Were they playing tight against BC in 2007 when they got the lead first?
  17. Oh, this team looked pretty tight for a good stretch of the Denver game. My, we have short memories around here.
  18. Like this version, Fetch?
  19. No pics, but we do have some CC footage of Cratter leaving the arena in Tampa last night...
  20. Insert Cam Johnson's performance in place of any of about a half dozen or so Frozen Fours since 2005 and this is probably banner #9 or #10. Not blaming the goalies involved in those games - just seemed that the FF was always the time for his worst outing of the season.
  21. A loss last night wouldn't have made this team and these players any less special in my eyes. A season to remember, made even better with a national championship.
  22. From "LITTLE RHODIE - BIG MAN ON CAMPUS!" in 2015 to "STICK A GRAND FORKS IN 'EM!" last night...wow. Goosebumps. I will put up with "sick mitts" and "saucy" if I get to hear gems like those out of Bucci's mouth every April.
