I’m sorry, but I keep seeing Michigan State referenced as an NCAA hockey blueblood. Does anyone REALLY have them in their upper echelon of NCAA hockey programs?

I just bucked up a pretty penny for 2026 World Junior Hockey Tournament tickets…safe to say, I’m out for next spring and the chance to watch RMU vs Cornell in the regional title game at Scheels Arena.

That would be a solid lesson if in fact past history showed it to be accurate. The pattern of Hak’s teams was starting slowly and finishing the season with guns a blazing. Berry’s pattern is the team starting the season slowly and then trying to dig out of a deep hole in order to make the tournament and either a) making it for one game or b) having the wheels come off the bus in every “must win” game in the second half of the season and not making it at all. So you’re relying on Berry to actually turn it around the second half of the season and I’m hoping he can too. If he does though, it would go against the grain of everything we’ve seen in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

It’s not that bad. You can look forward to Jo Zee’s 7 posts every home Friday AND Saturday weekend. Starts with the flag flying outside her house…then moves to pregame huddle…probably a scoreboard shot or two…a creeper photo of a former player in the stands…
