We are 1-13 with 1 game left. If we could be 8-7 after this year this team could be a real talker among BSC teams for next year..now it looks like we could be labled a cupcake.

Thats why I wouldn't fire him after this season. An Independant conference (which we basically are in) is not a good measure where this team is at. So I would wait to see what we do next season when we play a more constant schedule with hopefully no more than 1 NAIA/DII team if any that way we stay consistant, plus if we start winning on the road and can challenge for the BSC title it gives the kids more to play for. Who wouldn't want a shot at the dance.

Its too bad instead of SD Mines UND could play South Dakota. I am sure the Yotes would love some payback from last season's finale.

I give Jones 1 year in the BSC. If the team does this next year...fire him. You need to win on the road. Maybe a normal schedule is what this team needs.

There are a lot of teams wanting home games (NDSU 1 of them) but someone has to give. Plus GT said there are teams not wanting to play the National Champions.

According to Dom Izzo of WDAY sports...NDSU is down to 34 possible FCS teams left, and I don't know if they want 2 FBS games. Also the FBS teams are filling up as well. So hypothetically if they couldn't fill that spot would they break their 4 year streak of no non-DI team and schedule a Sioux Falls or MSU-Moorhead or stick with 10 games.

I agree but soon NDSU is going to face the problem of DII/NAIA or a 10 game season, and I wanted to know if UND had that choice what would do if you were Brian Faison? I would schedule it just to get players warmed up but you do run the risk of injuries too. It would be a tough call.

Time running out for NDSU as there are only 34 FCS teams (per a tweet from Dom Izzo) left for NDSU to try to schedule 1 game for 2012. Lakes's hope on Oklahoma failed as they scheduled Florida A&M. Now his hopes are on Florida State. If NDSU runs out of time would they dare schedule a non DI opponent? Or have a 10 game season? What should UND do if caught in this situation...10 game season or a NAIA/DII team?

But not once has the the tribal leader of Spirit Lake meet with the tribal leader of Standing Rock. Why couldn't SL talk SR into a tribe wide vote? If this name means so much to Spirit Lake like Chaske says then why no communication between the two tribes since 2005?

Fullerton isn't real but actually Douple in disguise. We can live without a conference look at Notre Dame. We will be fine in basketball look at Alcorn State (RPI 330 out of 344 teams). Oh wait reality check....Fullerton is real and so is his words. We don't have the $$$ like Notre Dame to live in Independent hell, and I think we deserve a basketball team better than the bottom of DI.

Has there been any talk between SL and SR??? Has either tribal councils ever discussed the Sioux name? Just seems its a pro-nickname person on this tribe and a pro-nickname person on that tribe but nothing about the two tribal councils actually engaging on this topic together. Doesn't it seem weird to anyone?

Out of 344 teams Alcorn is #330 in RPI....they only lost to Nebraska by 14.
