Nothing will change until the petitions are deemed legal correct? Just because its turned in doesn't mean we are automatically back on the H&A list. I would think this could take awhile to check every single name on the list.

How does NDSU get a bunch of players listed at 45 and UND has only 3 players listed alltogether? Does ESPN only know about NDSU through the NC game and barely acknowledge our existance?

If it is ruled unconstitutional is it over until the SL lawsuit? Or can they try to appeal or come up with more petitions.

So if UND gets booted from the BSC just watch all the recruits on the football team head somewhere else. I don't think UND can keep them with a bunch of NAIA teams and maybe..maybe 1 or 2 FCS teams while being in Indy Land.

We could be the Fighting Dakotan's since technically its our state. Just like Fighting Illini. I don't know what logo would be appropriate if we were the Dakotans that didn't have an Indian reference.

I do love the name and logo but returning it runs the risk of being booted from the Big Sky. Just because I didn't go to any classes doesn't mean I can't be a fan. I am a fan of the Miami Dolphins and I have thoughts about their team. But I guess that isn't good enough since I didn't hike the ball to Dan Marino. You are so stupid you know that, just because one doesn't go to the school doesn't mean they can't be a fan or voice their opinion on it. Do you think President Kelley cares what I type here? No but was kind enough to reply to my emails I sent him asking him questions about the transition and the nickname. I support UND athletics by buying their gear (with and without the Sioux name and logo), I pay for tickets, I pay for food, parking, and cheer for them whether its on the radio, tv, internet or in person. I support UND athletics not just the name. So I see the name coming back as a doom for athletics. Unless the NCAA gets on board which they won't unless the SL wins their lawsuit (not holding my breath on that), I am for UND moving forward in the Big Sky without the Sioux name and logo. Why don't you just poll everyone who posts here if they are UND Alumn or not and if they support the petitions, why single me and Dave K out? He is for the petitions..I am against them. its 1-1. I have been a UND fan since my first ever game in 1984 (UND vs CC in hockey) I am a die hard UND fan. I am sure you can poll fans at the Fargodome and see how many of them are actually Bison alumn, then tell the rest of them they don't have a clue on NDSU sports and for them to go to college. So in 1991 Grand Forks Central should have told the NDHSAA we are not going to fund a hockey team who has more state titles in ND...a football team, basketball team, etc. because the GF City Council took away our beloved Redskins nickname and logo that was there since probably the 1940's or 50's. My parents were Redskins, my brothers were Redskins, and me I was the last of the Redskins. It was changed the summer of 1991 I was just starting my sophomore year that fall. It hurt when they took that name away, and in a way it still hurts 21 years this summer. But I have accepted the Knights name...why? Because its the words in front of the nickname I love...GRAND FORKS CENTRAL!!!! That is all that matters not just Knights, not Redskins, not Maroon and Grey....but GFC!!!! When UND lost the NCAA battle it hurt to see everything transition to just UND but in the end everyone will accept the teams..why? Because of the words NORTH DAKOTA in front of whatever nickname there is.

People like me? Because I applaud an effort where UND didn't get killed 66-0 against Texas Tech there is something wrong with that...but at the same time NDSU fans are proud they went toe to toe with Iowa State.. WOW!!! Those 2 FBS teams are one in the same.

Same with Jim Kleinsasser. Most everyone not associated with hockey look at UND as a whole not just a hockey team. This is the NCAA not the NHL. UND is football, basketball, volleyball etc. We are not UND the hockey only school.

Bison fans are gloating all over the place. Most fans find this map stupid. Especially those fans of FCS teams.

Funny how Bison fans think all UND losses are moral victories..I never counted the moral victories in NDSU's 3 win season in 2009. Could that be EIGHT??
