I was thinking the same thing..what is Carlson going to do force Kelley and Faison to use it. Look at the damage that jackhole has caused the school. I think UND should sue Carlson when this is over. Look at the potential recruits that chose other schools than UND because of the name, and now no hosting playoffs and loss of events thats money lost isn't that punitive damages?

I really hope this impacts the minds of the 5 Supreme Court Justices in their decision. VOTE UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If its about the name UND can't do anything about it, its a state law. Tell the NCAA to send the letter to the state address it personally to Al Carlson.

UND is getting spanked in Wichita this weekend....losing 7-1, 26-0, and currently down 10-1 in the 5th inning. Not the way to start the season.

I would love to talk to him. It shouldn't be hard to schedule something you have 2 other games to schedule up to 2015 if they are open..schedule. Money shouldn't be a minimum since we are a couple hundred miles from USD and less than that for SDSU. Only if teams back out should it become a problem.

And in the years of 2015, 2017, and 2019 play USD and SDSU.

UNI is in the same boat since Savannah St backed out to play FSU. They only have 10 games. They are paying 250K to have a team come to the UNI Dome but no takers.

Since they are MEAC and SWAC teams it is very unlikely they will want to fly up to Fargo. Bison fans (including Lakes) is screaming against a DII team but reality might kick in the next month or so. I think Idaho St. getting Nebraska was a huge blow to them. Alabama St has 1 road game Ark PB has 2 road games Grambling has 4 road games PV has 4 road games Alcorn State has 5 road games ( basically count them out) Hampton has 4 road games NC A&T has 4 road games Davidson has 3 road games Jacsonville has 6 road games (they would never get a 7th) SUU has 6 road games (never a 7th) Would start the year @ Utah St, @ Cal, @ NDSU @ Portland St. (I think not) UCA has 5 road games but would start the year @ Ole Miss, @ Murray St, @ NDSU, vs SHSU @ SFA (I don't think so)

Did they ask any Chippewa tribe in Minnesota, ND, Wisconsin and other states about Central Michigan's use of the name? The NCAA policy is a bunch of BS. Even if the Oklahoma tribe was against the name the NCAA would have backed away from FSU some other way.

However NDSU fans on BVille are demanding the game be in Fargo..so that limits some of those choices.

I thought this may need to be brought up. Scheduling is tough we all know that, but for NDSU it could be the toughest ever. Gene Taylor and his Bison fans have vowed never to play a non-DI team well reality may hit them this season...According to Dom Izzo NDSU is down to 15-20 FCS teams left to schedule a game for Sept 15 or 22nd. That was February 20th... since then Savannah State and Idaho State have found FBS teams to finish off their schedules so now the number is roughly 13-18 teams. Wouldn't it serve NDSU fans right if they actually had to schedule a DII team or a NAIA team? After years of making fun of us for having non DI teams on our schedule..paybacks are a coming, and Lakes is a panicing.

I catch myself watching Lacrosse if it was on ESPNU or something and it looks fun to watch. Lots of goals, lots of hitting. I really think UND should drop baseball (makes no sense up here) and get Lacrosse.

Funny thing is...you can identify them when they post the same stuff on every message board.
