The MVFC teams I mentioned also scheduled DII teams this year. I know NDSU loves to make fun of teams that do that but I guess its only UND that makes it to the computer screen when they type the humor.
-
UND's offense vs NDSU's defense. If only UND's defense was better we could meet in the playoffs. One of the best receivers in the FCS vs one of the best DB's. Its a dream matchup, of course your offense against our defense wouldn't be a dream but a nightmare for UND.
-
It was scheduled before we entered the Big Sky unlike your conference mates UNI, and ISU (you know the one that beat NDSU).
-
Its just to prove that UND has played good teams...only Montana is the one not ranked. NDSU has a weaker schedule so far than UND. Sagarin can back that up with his SOS. Even our FBS team (San Diego St) was better than there's. I know this is going to turn into a whose dick is bigger but it pisses me off when they can look at our schedule and say we haven't played anyone good. Especially coming from a team who knows how to schedule cupcakes.

I would love to see how many wins NDSU would have if their schedule looked like this: NDSU vs Cal Poly NDSU at EWU NDSU vs NAU NDSU vs Montana NDSU at Montana State Could NDSU go 5-0 in that stretch? And before you Herd fans yell of course think about who you lost to in your dome.

Then its time to get rid of student seating and open it up for the general public. If they aren't going to use them there are people who will. Simple....use it or lose it.

They average what 300 people for men's basketball...I don't think they (or anyone else) would care.

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
darell1976 replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
Okay, can we either get back to the topic (NDSU-UND rivalry) or just close this bitchfest of a thread which it has become. -
Guess who had to weigh in on this subject:

Here is a stat that will make you wonder why the % is so low and yet we are winning...look at South Dakota: Avg 8998 (max is 10,000) % capacity....89.98% through 3 games. Record is 1-6. Home games vs Colgate, Western Illinois and Illinois State. NDSU was at a neutral site and is NOT included. UND is 4-4. Hockey hasn't started yet in Grand Forks (last weekend they were in Alaska). So...what can be improved? Marketing, ticket prices, tv, game times. This stat: 75% for UND vs 90% for USD makes me sick.

Through Saturday's game: #19 total attendance: 46,626 #40 avg attendance: 9325 #41 % capacity: 75.92 Eastern Michigan still averaging 4527 through 4 home games.

What's with this signature win thing? It was a win to stop our 3 game losing streak thats it, its not a playoff win its not a conference title win we aren't getting in the playoffs or winning the BSC anyways. Last nights win was called a good win. Not a signature win.

The Grizz fans was waiting for the ball to hit the rafters. He was a good kicker.
-
Grizz fans next to me thought the fair catch interference on the punt was a bad call that he was blocked into the runner.
-
I was saying Fire Mussman after the missed 4th and 1 and the 3rd down and 3 or 4 that they ran the ball on. Damn I was pissed.
-
What will it take for UND to pitch a shutout? Besides a miracle.

Did anyone see a good view of the INT by Montana in the 3rd that was scooped up closely to the turf. I thought it hit the ground but of course the refs didn't agree and called it a pick. On the radio after the game even Hanson didn't think it was a pick.
-
What section were you in? I was in 215 with the Gizz fans.
-
UND's defense did really good towards the end but they need to do that the whole game. I still don't get why Muss went for it on 4th and 1 and not take the points.
-
They had the ball about 5 minutes left their WR dropped a pass which IMO if he caught it would have made it 41-31. But it didn't happen and UND squeeked one out. The losing streak is over.

Just got back to Fargo, my voice hurts like hell. As for the game itself Montana should have won it. UND played horrible in the third quarter and Montana's recievers dropped passes one of them would've been a TD. Our defense continues to suck. If UM would have stopped Hanson we would've been destroyed. As for the fans, I was sitting next to a couple Grizzlies fan and in front of us were Montana fans from Sidney. They were the nicest people. 100% class act all the way. They cheered, they brought the cowbell, it was nice to have a conversation with them the whole game. They drank a lot of beer to keep the Grand Forks economy going. They said we had a nice building and the game was great that it came down to the end. A guy said if they would have had their star RB he would have made some big plays up the middle (I believe it!). Great people, and they said its too bad us two teams couldn't play every year. I told him UND's "rival games" were Montana State and Northern Colorado, but UM will be in Grand Forks the next two years (2013 is a non-conference game to make up the end of the home and home from 2010) and then conference play resumes in 2014. Great game, I really thought OT was coming. I could have killed Mussman when UND had 3 time outs and 1:30 left in the first half and he pissed it away by running the clock out. I told my dad 14 points against our defense is not a safe lead. Hanson and Hardin...UND's version of Montana to Rice, awesome connection. 660 yards for Hanson and 330 for Hardin...holy crap!!! If only our defense was strong. Oh for you NDSU fans...there was a guy among the Montana fans about 5 or 6 sections over wearing a Bison shirt...guess who he was cheering for. I hope our offense shows up against MSU, just leave the crappy defense at home.

So there is another team going to the BTHC. They are trying to rival the NCHC but with these startup schools its going to take a lot of time.
