Why? Oh that's right only NDSU can be successful at the DI level. Sorry Bill UND can be successful in more than just hockey.

Anyone have an updated list on what positions UND is short on going into this fall? With all the transfers coming in and players leaving after the coaching change its hard to keep track.

I would definitely take a championship over beating your rival, so yeah that 6-0 is mute compared to NDSU's win over Oklahoma and a football title. We are just showing you guys that UND isn't far behind NDSU like your media guys said back in 2008 when we moved up. I know you guys are flattered to use you as a benchmark, but its nice to take that observation and stick it in their face.

In 2001 UND was runners up in hockey, and DII NC in football. It takes more than just money to be successful at both at the same time. It takes the right players and coaches. I think UND could be successful in the MAC, I'm not talking about winning the dance, beating Alabama for a NC, but be respectable with the right personnel in charge, without dropping hockey or dumping a sh-t load of money into football.

Maybe he should have said the BSC compares favorably in football attendance to the MAC.

If the stadium had lights they should have Central play there.

I did that as to repeat my original post. Anyway to exit English 101 and return to football, Gene Taylor won't give up a home game to UND, and he feels the games in an 11 game season will always need to be in Fargo. Plus he is still pissy over something that happened in 2003 and since he can't stick it to Roger Thomas and Kuppy, he feels the need to stick it to Kelley and Faison who have nothing to do with that. GT is a douche and UND needs to fill those years with anyone else. They scheduled a h/h with South Dakota and South Dakota State they can fill a h/h with anyone. NDSU's motto anyone, anywhere is anyone but UND and anywhere as long as its in Fargo. UND's motto is anyone, anywhere.

Just seems like it will sit empty for the longest time, and it should be utilized better throughout the year not when UND has to go to Cheney or Ogden.

By that time, NDSU will have a DI hockey team.

So when the completion of the IPF is complete, what next for Memorial Stadium? They won't need to have outdoor practice and track and field. Is there a way either UND could move soccer to it? Or how about this... make it UND's new baseball/softball stadium. Or would the dimensions not work for that.

Since NDSU will never sign with UND I wonder if Faison will work the phones this offseason to fill the 2015, 2017 spots. We just need 1 home and home for those dates, then UND's schedule is done until 2018.

Please tell me what's so special about the Big 10 for hockey? Winning a NC, our conference has many of those, attendance UND is #1, television, UND has that. How many hockey games are on the Big 10 network? The BTN showed 22 games last season, only 3 were shown from Oct 11 - Jan 10th. THREE!!! Because hockey takes a backseat to football and basketball in the Big 10. The Big 10 has big named schools that's all, and 2 of those schools in that 6 team league haven't done squat in hockey.

This is key. College sports is changing, and Fullerton has a plan for that change. He saw teams exiting conferences in droves and almost lost his Montana schools to the WAC so to help his conference in "ALL" sports he secured the strength in numbers (unlike Douple) with the addition of the GWFC (GWC) teams except South Dakota who bailed at the last minute. Now Fullerton sees a split coming and wants his conference to be ready for that split. V&D are just riding the wave praying they still have a conference after this is over.

Time will tell my friend. Why don't you think the NCHC won't be a premier hockey conference? Is it because we don't have all DI teams? All FBS teams? All big names in the college sports world? This is hockey!!! What Penn State and Ohio State did on the gridiron doesn't apply to hockey.

Douple didn't respond to UND's request to join the SL in baseball so UND found a conference that wanted them. I would think Douple and Kelley still have bad blood between them.

NDSU will never get into the MVC. There are schools ahead of you they would choose before you guys...like your rivals to the south of you to name one.

BV would explode if NDSU dumped the MVFC for the Big Sky. Travel expenses would be outrageous, even though that was not an issue when they tried the first two times to get in.
