It humors me when G5 fans think the gap widens every year between their type of teams and the FCS until FCS teams beat (or sometimes crush) the G5 teams. Upper FCS teams are not that far behind or even equal to the lower FBS teams.

Why also aren't we seeing South Dakota? The SL teams are the closest to UND get them to the Betty. There were only TWO DI teams that came to the Betty last year...TWO (NDSU, SDSU).

What people are forgetting is Fullerton's idea is based on a p5 split and a merge between top FCS and the rest of the FBS teams, so conferences like the BSC, MVFC, etc can move up as a whole.

Nothing can happen until there is either a split in the FBS or BSC teams (including UND) upgrade their stadiums to over 15k.

Will UND move up as well, as the contract with the Alerus will still be there?

I went to a FU/Western Illinois game in 2008 (UND was off), and between the Student section chanting Sioux Suck, and not seeing UND play I didn't care to be there. My wife was cheering loudly for her Bison, I of course was quietly cheering or WIU. WIU won the game so it was a good day.

Any guess when ND will see the population hit one million? They are predicting Fargo to hit 300,000 by 2040, and we aren't in the oil field.

6 seasons ( 2014 will be your 7th). I think you guys could be the next Montana but even they miss the playoffs now and then.

UND will go down? Big Sky Conference champs and a nice dance trip will increase attendance especially with success and that is key.
