I thought Cal Poly would be a top 2 team but seems like they never get the respect either, its always UM, MSU, and EWU. There are tall trees up there, and we are just a seed with UNC, ISU, and Weber State. Time to get this team going and go all Paul Bunyan in the conference.

Jamal Spencer would get up set when me and a buddy of mine would call him out on FB on all the Bison news stories and nothing on UND. I would point out KVLY is supposed to represent the whole valley not just the southern valley. He said on weekends they are short staffed and can't cover everyone, in other words since Jamal loves the Bison that's what you get.

Actually living here in Fargo, I always watch WDAY for sports, they have more about UND than KVLY. KVLY is very heavy on the Bison and very little on UND, where Dom Izzo does a good job on UND. KVLY is so heavy on NDSU that they have a Bison section on their app, remember they represent the "Valley". Yeah right.

Change the requirement to 4,000 attendance that way Eastern Michigan can finally be in compliance.

I am sure it will make it to a few of the hundred UND threads over there.

How much talk/interest has there been between Fullerton and NMSU? I know NMSU and Idaho are one of the same but I haven't heard anything about the Aggies joining the BSC or showing interest, whereas UI starts BSC play with all their other sports in a couple months.

Last OOC road win was Feb 18, 2012 at Longwood, before that was Eastern Michigan at a tournament in Moscow, ID on Dec 4, 2010.

Honestly I don't know. Jones is on the hot seat and going 0-9 on the road to start the year is going to make things hotter for him. Intentionally avoiding DI teams no, not getting home and home or 2 for 1's maybe. I may be just typing without thinking and doing some venting but this schedule would be like the football team with an FCS and 2 DII teams for a non-conference schedule. I thought we would do away with the Mayvilles when we moved up and got into a big conference, but I guess our geography is kicking us in the butt again, I would like us to play the Dakota 3 and Omaha every year, add a UNI and maybe a DU would be good to. What does this schedule do to players mentality when you play on the road vs DI teams come home against a meaningless DII/NAIA team then back on the road for more DI teams then start conference play 11 games later. Players should be up for the game no matter who it is, then again we saw UND get beat by Sioux Falls in football. If you aren't up for the game..you lose.

Is there anyone that is happy with this schedule?? Honestly? For myself I am disgusted by it. No real home game until 2015 and that's when conference play starts. Since Jones's team hasn't beaten a non conference team on the road since early 2012 UND could be at 2-9 overall going into conference play or with a 0-9 DI record.

I mentioned the SL when he said USD could have more bus rides vs flights giving them more money which would be true for UND. As for the schedule and Jones how would justify 12 home games in a 28 game season ( 3 home games out of a 10 OOC season)? Since it's not baseball you can't blame the weather.

If money is an issue scheduling teams like Mayville and Dickinson is not going to bring any kind of a crowd unless its really dead in Grand Forks. Also if money was an issue how did UND get a boat load of DI teams to Grand Forks during our transition period when you needed to schedule a lot more games than you do now, then we join the BSC and all we get up here is the SU's and Omaha? If travel costs are hampering our scheduling ability, fans may be thinking it was a mistake not to join the SL.

Attendance is lousy in football and yet we stopped scheduling Crookston, Black Hills State, and SDSoM. UND has had 1 non DI team since joining the Big Sky in football. UND has had only 4 DI teams in 2 seasons of the BSC in basketball. 12 home games this season, 18 road games and the DI team we get at home is a transitioning one. I would really hate to see our OOC schedule if we were in the SL.

USD's OOC home games DI since joining the SL: 2011-12 Canisius, Texas State 2012-13 Ball St, Morehead St 2013-14 Utah Valley, Wyoming, Green Bay, CS-Northridge How is USD, located in Vermillion get 4 DI teams last season and UND only got the SU's?? USD is no better than we are, and its not like our basketball teams are the same as the football teams. We aren't battling for last place. I think Jones didn't try hard enough, 300+ DI teams, and we get Dickinson and Mayville.

NDSU not fairing much better: Minot St, UM-Crookston, UND, Akron (Bracketbuster), Northland....2 DI teams.

We had better OOC home games in the GWC, this is embarrassing. Mayville, Dickinson and a transition DI team. Since UND can't win OOC games on the road maybe they should load up on the lower ND teams. Next year can we host Lake Region and Science of Wahpeton. Prepare for more empty seats at the Betty. Football got away from DII teams why can't they get away from them in basketball. 300+ teams and we host Dickinson and Mayville. Is it Jones or Faison that does the scheduling. Cause this sucks!!! I will now step off the soapbox.

NDSU did a 2 for 1 with Southern Miss of C-USA, maybe UND needs to do that just to get DI teams of other conferences whether its C-USA, Sun Belt, MWC, MAC, just anyone to come to the Betty. Just scheduling NDSU, and SDSU is not enough.

Since joining the BSC, our OOC home games (DI only) are UMKC, Bowling Green (2012-13), SDSU, and NDSU (2013-14). Other OOC home games, Crown College, Presentation College twice, and UM-Morris. Not going to get many in the seats until conference play with the lack of OOC home games against DI teams.

I just realized UND doesn't play the big 2 teams in conference play in 2016, no Montana, and no Eastern Washington, maybe that could be the year UND challenges for a conference title. Home vs Cal Poly, SUU, Weber St, NAU.....Away at Montana St, Sac St, Idaho St, UNC OOC @ Stony Brook, Bowling Green; vs South Dakota 2016..PLAYOFFS!!!

Is there any reason UND can't get any SL teams to Grand Forks this year? South Dakota, WIU, DU, etc? UND had only the SU's last year at the Betty (the only DI teams), Playing P5 teams is good (Minny, Wisc, Oregon, Kansas), but can't we get the rest of DI to Grand Forks?
