Of course going FBS now is not attractive especially for BSC teams unless there is an invite for the MW or PAC 12. SV's theory along with Fullerton's idea of a conference move up doesn't appear on the radar for at least a few years or so and at the rate college football is changing it may come true.
Should be an interesting couple years, if SV's theory does pan out and NDSU is crawling at the BSC door for an invite BV will have a complete meltdown.
I would love to see UND put Dakota on their basketball jerseys, kinda like South Carolina does to its football uniforms. Its not like the NCAA can take Dakota away from us.
We are the University of North Dakota, a new name would not be North Dakota. A new name would be University of North Dakota (enter new name here). UND can keep the interlocking ND as a new logo but they must have a new name whether its Green and White or whatever, but under that settlement there will be a name after the words University of North Dakota.
Here you go, please note the date of Aug 15, 2011 was before the state law debacle, therefore NCAA agreeing (at least not harping on UND) to the end of the cooling off period for a new name and logo.

I can't wait until game 12 is done and we can see if this team is headed in the right direction. Not expecting any miracles or be #1 in defense but just to see major improvements would be great.
You guys said it yourself that when UND quit playing you, you were desperate for games (reason you did a H/H with Weber St) why wouldn't you have expectations to play a local team like USD?
Teams we play or in our area with Cougars, are Chicago State, Minnesota-Morris, SIU-Edwardsville, and that one school football fans would love to forget....SIOUX FALLS.
All the hatred towards UND by the NDSU fans and administration especially GT, overshadowed the fact that USD killed playing NDSU in all sports at the same time of the move up, but yet GT was quick on scheduling a 2 for 1 with them while thumbing his nose at UND at the same time.
