I see UND getting asked to join the Big 10 before being asked to join the PAC 12. Big 10 needs attendance and a big name in hockey since teams like Wisconsin and the Michigans aren't lighting it up lately. Ohio St and Penn St are a joke in that conference.

As a GFC alumn I didn't like Roughriders at first, but that name has grown on me, and if UND was the Roughriders (or Ridas) I wouldn't have any problem cheering Go Riders.

After him we had Bunning (the worst AD) and now Faison who even though got us into the Big Sky hasn't made much (or any) noise since 2010.

Why was UND dominant in basketball, football, and hockey at the same time in the 90's and early 2000's? Winning a national title in WBB and hockey in back to back months (1997) and football and hockey winning it in back to back years (hockey in 2000 and football in 01). Now you have hockey going to the frozen four every year, football is struggling but hopefully moving forward WBB went to the dance 2 years ago while MBB struggles to stay above .500. Is it the administration? Coaches? Competition?

It was noted in the other thread that a suggestion on sports to cut was swimming and diving...is this sport a money sucking sport? I don't follow s/d so I wouldn't know about revenue or expenditures on pool use and travel.

I wish this thing was over...like 5 years ago. GFC started using Knights in the fall of 1994...how many people (say under 20) know Central used to be Redskins. That name is fading with every graduating class and all you see in stores and around GF is Knights gear. It's a household name now, if people think this won't happen at UND...let's all jump in the Delorian and fast forward to 2035, I think people will be surprised.

Change RRHS to the Riders, that way the girls hockey team can still be the Knightriders.

And how did UND try and make the SU's fail?? By not scheduling you both well USD didn't schedule you two either. And guess what SDSU got over it and signed a H/H with us in football while you guys still hold a grudge. So cry a river on Bisonswille not here.
