I can't see them on the upper Big Sky team list of FBS wannabes. Not with a budget problem like that.

Any talk on what next years schedule looks like, besides playing in Fargo, possibly at their new arena. I hope they can get more Summit teams like South Dakota SDSU, Omaha and Denver. Dump the DII's and get some DI teams in. Its sad to get a respectable team like UNI in they have to do a 3 in 1 type series but since we are small fish in the eyes of the CBB world I guess that will be the norm.

And karma kicked Bohl's butt again by having us crushing them. I know fans aren't too thrilled about the job Bohl has done given the hype that was given to him by NDSU fans. NDSU big dogs in the FCS, Wyoming a tiny speck in the FBS.

Tough loss but a respectable one as Irvine had a great season with 26 wins. However it was at home and Jones still can't win in a CIT tournament. Hopefully next season with players a year older they can get these types of wins (higher RPI teams), and get to the dance.

With a new logo, a non-Sioux friendly place like the Alerus, and with Bubba wearing Hawks gear to practice, I think the Alerus will be a Hawks haven for the football team and fans.

Wait until September when Bubba's Hawks takes the field.

But maybe this will be the year Jones wins a game.

I don't see a 16 beating a number 1, but it would be something to see that one of these years. Stony Brook and UC-Bakersfield's first dance trip I hope they can make it a game.

But to some OOC don't matter especially when the other DI team in the state is beating ranked opponents and we are losing to some of the worst in DI.

Flying like a Hawk.

Last year NAU was 13-5, and SUU was 7-11, UND was tied for last with ISU and MSU at 4-14....UND was at the bottom.

Let Jones coach next season and give him a short extension after this team is dancing and only if the team is dancing in 12 months. The roster will be more mature and hopefully he can get the team past Weber on the road and in the conference tournament.

UND was picked 8th to 10th because they sucked last year. They were 4-14 in the conference and 8-22 overall, very bad. There is nowhere to go but up, not the worst coach but not a great coach either. He is average by definition. Jones has finished above .500 4 times (including this year) in his career, under .500 4 times and at .500 twice, so pretty much average. Did the team overachieve this season yes, but to a point.

A first year coach who takes his team to the dance then in his second year gets to the conference tournament finals is pretty damn impressive. Compare that to Jones' first two years as a coach. Yeah no comparison.

Do you know how much UND has paid to play in the CIT?

Don't they get money for being in a tournament?

Good game, everyone played tough and they took Weber to the end. Everyone should be proud how they played in the tournament. Next season a little more mature, and Bollomboy gone, maybe we can overtake Weber not only in the regular season at their place but in Reno. Good luck next year guys.

Make the damn free throws

This years motto, after getting the shaft last season. That whole 7 win thing is now history, its 8 or more with emphasis on the more. We play Stony Brook, Bowling Green, and South Dakota before conference play if we can go 3-0 or 2-1 like last year, thing should be looking up to make a run for the conference title and our first DI football playoff berth.
