How long was the defense on the field in the first half? With the offense doing nothing, my guess is the D got tired in the second half.
-
Nchc.tv includes ALL home games except for those aired on CBSSN. Manitoba, Bemidji home game, Air Force and Providence series are included with your nchc.tv subscription.
-
That I don't know but my guess is that they'll stay with their previous setup. I know someone asked about HD a page ago. If you're watching on Midco, it will be HD. If you're watching on FCS, it won't be. If you're watching on CBSSN, it will be HD. If you're watching a Und home game via nchc.tv it will be HD.
-
Fox won't announce anything. UND will announce a new agreement with FCS. I don't want to claim to be all knowing, but when it comes to nchc TV stuff, I have a lot of info. It's never speculation on my part.
-
While none of it has been announced, it's not speculation. CBSSN is doing 11 regular season games, 6 of them UND. Brad will post the specifics but it's 3 home/3 road games for UND. FCS will likely be announced following official release of CBS schedule.
-
I have a source.
-
That always was the plan. Just like UND"s stream last year was via the Midco Broadcast, so will all other schools. They're telling the truth. It's more than ten.
-
Yes, Root and FSN are regional, however last year the games were restricted to just those channels. With the removal of the exclusivity, games carried on Root and FSN can now be simulcast on FCS, which gets them into homes across the country. I've heard more about the CBSSN schedule. Schlossman will have in depth analysis, but expect to see Und a lot.
-
The non-exclusivity helps other schools in the conference as well. Fox Sports North is working with UMD and SCSU to televise some of their games this year, which would then be available nationally. Miami is working with the network that has broadcast a few of their games to increase the number of broadcasts, which then can be picked up nationally. DU already has some stuff on Root Sports, along with a few CC games. UNO had one game on CBSSN and it wasn't even against an NCHC opponenet (Michigan). We'll know more when the schedule is released tomorrow but at this point, it benefits half of the schools, if not more.
-
I agree CBSSN did a great job. Ben, Dave and Shireen have been incredible ambassadors for the conference. However, it's a catch-22 for UND. More CBSSN games means fewer UND games on Fox College Sports. The renegotiating of the exclusivity clause by Josh Fenton and the entire NCHC office will mean most, if not all of UND's home games will be aired on national TV. No it does not. This is in addition to regional/national broadcasts (not including CBSSN). Correct. If you order by September 25th, you get every home game in 7 of the 8 venues for $82 (the cost goes up after the 25th). You're also entered for VIP tickets and hotel to the Frozen Faceoff.

Is this streamed anywhere?

NDSU had to replace their turf after a year too, but cool story, bro

I'm rolling at a solid 39%. My post numbers may not be the biggest, but apparently people like checking me out.

Every time he mentions the big sky going FBS, I take a shot. With how drunk I've been nonstop for the past month, I'm almost on pace with bizun fans.

Auburn's twitter machine is putting out some nice updates: https://twitter.com/AuburnVB

To be fair, a lot of viking's fans were doing that a few years ago

Well yeah... with our new retractable roof stadium opening in 2020, that seems pretty obvious.

This still applies "The games are being played, that's a start. I'm willing to bet that whatever AD we have and whatever AD NDSU has in 2017 will be able to have a civil discussion about renewing some part of the rivalry in a home-home model following the 2019 games." Although, you've never been a fan of the current administration and this is another chance for you to spread the doom and gloom message.
-
It's a shame this post was glossed over. Clearly, everyone remembers this right? I mean, back to back games at UND meant the end of the world for Bison fans, yes? No? People don't remember? Huh, kinda like in 2030 when nobody will remember there were two games back to back in Fargo. The games are being played, that's a start. I'm willing to bet that whatever AD we have and whatever AD NDSU has in 2017 will be able to have a civil discussion about renewing some part of the rivalry in a home-home model following the 2019 games.

I believe Dressler is too old for the practice squad however Hardin could make it onto a team that way and impress from there

We don't need everything thread filled with your what-if scenarios, please.

Oh dear lord. What type of laptop not built in 1999 has s-video? No wonder people complain about the quality of the stream.

I don't think there is anything not to like from the WCHA Commish, which is why I said I think it will happen. Barring another western team joining d1 ncaa hockey at the same time, I see SFU going to the WCHA. If they, and another school with some investment in hockey decide to go D1, I see them joining the NCHC as that conference is obviously looking for more members. After rejecting Notre Dame due to unrealistic requests, the NCHC is in a position of picking and choosing schools they want. I think western schools would be an excellent opportunity for the conference to expand into areas that don't have a lot of college hockey fans. Why let the WCHA grab SFU (and let's say another northwest team) when the NCHC wants that market? Edit: Basically, forget what i said about needing two teams to join. I think SFU would join the NCHC even if they're the only western team making the jump. A 9 team schedule isn't ideal but that western market is huge for any conference. I'm still curious if the moratorium has been lifted on individual teams going d1.

Due to the wide range of broadcast qualities and the cost involved, the most the nchc can do is strongly encourage schools to upgrade. Und, Miami, DU and SCSU have the highest quality video. Fortunately, UMD will improve some with FSN games. CC will get better as they made upgrades. WMU needs help and a lot of it.
