That logic in your eyes has NDSU beating Mizzu? If SI would "mop up" on UND, then SU won't be over .500 this year in the Gateway.
-
Best complete H.S. player in the "metro"/surrounding area this year...and it isn't even close. Shoots it deep, strong to the tin, drops dimes, boards well for his size and if need be can D up tight.
-
Really? When SU goes a game or 2 above .500 in the Gateway and doesn't make the playoffs, you think the Bison "faithful" are going to continue to cram the Dome? (Cue tapes from the Babich era) Didn't mind 'cause I didn't care!
-
It is not complicated now. Same division, biggest single day viewed sports event in the state and huge gate for either school to host game. This is a common sense issue now--the fans of each school want the game to be played, the majority of citizens in the state want the game to be played and my guess is the players want the game to be played. Put egos aside and get this rivarly started again.

And Kozek's dad was overheard at the F4 saying, "He's not going pro yet. I just bought him a damn house!"

"Stay classy Fargo!"

Love Fargo! It's the UND grads that practice medicine in Fargo, like myself, that keep you SU grads healthy so that you can to your tractor pulls, kegs parties at your neighbors and dinners out at the Golden Coral!
-
2nd that! When NDSU hosts a playoff FB in the Dome or has a men's basketball team that can do something in the postseason, get back to me. SU didn't anything in it's last few years in D2 and one big win here and there in D1 FB or BB doesn't qualify for all the arrogance that I deal with from Bison fans here in Fargo.

And you have more inside info than TH?

BINGO!! And that is why they have been to 3 straight Championship games. They skate, they are fast and they can score. Was also suprised by how physical they were. If you can't catch them, you can't hit them. UND needs more speed and scorers to get to where they want to go which is to win those last 2 game at the Frozen Four.

Having Joe back for another year would be great. For those who say we don't need him back because we have freshman coming in take a look at LaPoint. LaPoint will be much better next year but was he as solid and polished as the hype coming in?? Freshman D-man struggle in the WCHA plain and simple. Joe would provide leadership and experience as well as improved play.

Per radio today, there is some speculation that Finley might return next year.
-
Wish that could be said for Thursday afternoon.

Asked the vendor how these shirts were selling and he said not well. Told him I'd give him $5 bucks for one and he laughed. I told him good luck and went back later in the weekend and still a pile of them left. Go figure.

Fully agree. Funny how so many people are so down on Martens. He is not flashy but more than a solid 2 way player. If I'm not mistaken didn't he jump to the top line a couple times when Duncan was tossed at UM and Oshie got hurt mid-game this year? If people want to "rag" on some players, I can think of some that under produced this year more so than Martens based on pure talent!! He is a 4 year guy that will be better next year.
-
Find it intersesting that UND will have all these freshman cracking the line-up in '09. Outside of Trupp at forward, Malone and Frattin were not real consistant or solid as freshman. Where is Martens in this conversation? He will play next year because he does things well, not great, on both ends of the ice. And obviously Hak sees something in Miller? Lots depends on who goes and stays obviously.
-
I don't recall a game when I saw more UND players with there eyes looking up at the rafters because they were on their backs. First time I've seen Oshie get totally knocked around for a whole game. BC out-hit and physically out played us! Wouldn't have predicted that. But did think we'd lose by 5 goals either!
-
Seeing both teams play live: BC should roll Sat. I'll go 5-1.
-
Another great year that just came up alittle short by another group of great young men.

This is where you again come across as one of the biggest idiots to troll this site. I am here in Denver as well and if we were both at the same game yesterday, there is no way you can pin that game on JPL. He was not good but to single him out as not being a "big game goaltender" shows your ignorance. He got absolutely miminal help in front of him.
-
ND was much better than I thought they would be. Without their top scorer, they made the plays they needed to offensively and were solid for the most part on D. Michigan can flat out skate! This was a game where neither theam got good goaltending. At least Michigan came out with some fire and grit to start the 2nd unlike our boys. Down 3-0 vs. 4-0 after 1 period isn't a lot different but I saw different resovle from Michigan to make it a game that I didn't see from our guys.
-
JPL was not the reason UND lost. He didn't play well but who did. Genoway was absolutely horrible and Finley was not far behind. They had a combined -7 rating for the game. Pathetic! No offense other than a couple minute stretch early in the 1st. The dike broke early and often and then the boys bailed instead of trying to plug the hole! To see no fight as they came out to begin the 2nd was the most disappointing thing of all!
-
Sitting there watching the game was embarrassing!! For the Sioux to come out in the second period with absolutely no life was pathetic. You want to see a team pack it in, watch your DVR or TiVo because it won't be on ESPN Classic. The Sioux fans support was tremendous. To totally lay an egg by a team that talked about being on a misssion is inexcusable! To lose is one thing but to be taken to the woodshed because you can't or won't strap it on is another. First time I have seen a Hak coached team up and quit!!
-
Word on the street in Denver is Trupp is NOT likely to play tomorrow. Not ruled out but not likely.

My daughter and I will be in Sec. 206 Row 1.
