I'm have been Imus-ed! I would come up tonight and apologize but heading south for a week of golf later tonight. And since Redwing is now the father figure around here now that PCM left, I'll take my chastising like a man and mandate a 1 week self-imposed banishment from the SS site. Again was nothing personal. I'm sorry. Tech in 3!! Addendum: Ban begins when I head to airport to I can follow some of the game here.

For the record I'm an ankle and elbow model. Relax!!

Lighten up people! Just taking a playful shot at a fan of the opposing team. It is not like I spewed sewage that goes on over at USCHO. Don't know her and don't need to, but let me assure you the crack was made in jest. Apologies to her and some others who apparently have their panties in a bundle over this.

This MeanEgirl person was right above me with her "Sioux play like Pioux" sign. That chick needs a new look!! She looked like a cross between Betty Ugly (minus the glasses) and Charlie Chaplin with that pathetic hat she had on!! Long trip for her to see 2 beat downs!!

Few random thoughts: 1) One of the best officiated games I've seen all year. That is what a college hockey game is suppose to look like. 2) Oshie at 70% is better than any MTU player at 100%--very gritty effort. 3) Duncan and Chorney looked very good. Going to need that to continue from your best players. 4) Marto, Miller and Marten were very solid as well. 5) Finley was a beast. 6) JPL-enough said. 7) Genoway is a difference maker--speed, skill and energy!! One of the best overall team efforts in a few weeks. Very impressed overall.

Word! Keep keepin' it real, Mike!

Kudos to both guys, but Bina over Genoway or Finley?

ENOUGH!! Any more bickering and I'm off to USCHO for insight on personal hygine, fecal matter and all things related to Brittney Spears!
-
Fair assessment, but then I don't want to hear from some that it was because of "bickering", personal attacks, ect... Because as it has been mentioned here and I have witnessed it, even though I am not a member over there, USCHO is absolutely pathetic in terms of personal attacks and so-called bickering as compared to this site. If someone has thin skin and needs to leave this site, they'll need counseling after being over there a few minutes.

I have little doubt UND wins this series, but 3 games is possible. If UND gets 3(+) goals in any game they win. If they score only 2 or less, I could see MTU getting one game. A 1-1 game going into the 3rd just requires a bounce here or there to win a game. If UND breaks out of their scoring funk...sweep.
-
Have you ever checked out the "bickering" on USCHO? People that write story lines for porn get their ideas from over there! That "stuff" over there is everything but hockey related 95% of the time.
-
So what you're saying is...? Sioux sweep 8-1 and 7-1!
-
Reading between the coach speak--both will play!
-
The problem I see with the lack of scoring lately was evident in full view this past weekend, especially Sat. A 2-1 lead Sat. with minutes to go and one questionable call leads to a a tying PP goal. You put your season's outcome in peril if you have to wait for a bounce or a call--for or against--in a 1-0, 1-1 game. The Sioux didn't play great on Sat. but that should have been a W plain and simple.

UND in 2 vs. Tech Sconnies in 3 vs. Jan Gophs in 3 vs. Kato Pios in 3 vs. Dogs CC in 2 vs. UAA

I stand corrected with my GED math! He is still minus 6 for the year and if he is minus 7 in WCHA play that is even worser ! (There is my GED grammer as well)
-
Exactly. Martens is playing beyond what any Sioux fan thought he would do this season and Kozek is playing the way many Sioux fans thought he ought to be playing this season. Play up to your talent and playing beyond expectations are 2 different things. Bottom line: Both have been outstanding!!
-
I believe Lasch has 23 goals and 48 points but is a MINUS 6 on the year!! That means he has been on the ice for 54 goals against!! Pathetic! That's like hitting 50 home runs but striking out 200 times. First team--no way!!
-
We'll agree to disagree. When some NHL team has your draft rights, you have talent and skill. Kozek is just starting to use that talent and skill. Martens didn't even figure to be an every night player and he has turned into one of most versatile forwards. You plug Martens in and let him go. Dependable and solid. I love what Kozek brings every night this year but frankly he should have brought it earlier in his career. He is the player today that he should/could have been last year.
-
You saw him first hand?? Or was it--my 4th cousin's sister's ex-boyfriend's aunt saw him?? Too many people who are "in the know" on these threads posting questionable info so I apologize if I'm stepping on your toes.
-
Thought last nights effort was one of the best of the season! Short bench, sickness to a few guys, ect... If Anderson keeps his whistle in his pocket like he did on the take down of Dunc in Friday's OT and does not call the Kozek penalty, that is more than likely a 2-1 win. And if Martens is not the most improved player from game one this year, who is? He might not have the skill or speed of some on the team, but he is in the right place most of the time and doesn't make many mistakes. Thought this weekend for the first time this year Miller was solid at both ends of the ice. If we get healed up a little, we'll be alright. I thought the 3rd and 4th lines looked as good as they have all year this weekend. Don't really like the fact we didn't win a game this weekend, but didn't think we played as poorly as some on this thread have posted.

On the post game radio show last night, TH got done interviewing Martens and then spotted Oshie. TH asked Oshie across the way, "Are you going to be alright?" Then TH said half laughing something to the effect TJ said he'll be alright he just can't walk. It was TJ's right ankle that was injuried from my take. You could easily tell when the hit the ice to begin the second period he was really favoring the right foot and skate. My educated guess is a (high) ankle sprain. If he tried to play beginning the second, he has a good shot to play next weekend. The bigger question will they play TJ?? Should be able to beat Tech without him and you chance further injury if he is not 100%.

Know the person who wrote the letter (and his family). Level headed individual so I don't question the validity of his account. One word comes to mind on this situation--PATHETIC!

Can you say Ryan Leaf?! Big talent and often injured.
